I checked my comment using both of my accounts (lot of timeout errors unfortunately) and both were only giving me the reply option on swipe. I even uninstalled and cleared storage and cache (though that still kept me logged in for some reason?)

EDIT: editing on Jerboa - clearing storage again seems to have reset the app properly, but I'm still getting the same behavior (reply instead of edit). Perplexing! Also experiencing a lot of 502s and 504s, but honestly getting errors in Jerboa as well so for all I know it's related to the .world Lemmy version update :(

Weird... It replaced the reply gesture for you? Mine still acts as reply. Maybe I'm doing it wrong.
Spectacular new release, man! Thunder is really improving by leaps and bounds with every release :)
One thing I am noticing: you mention in the release notes was the ability to edit comments, and that it should replace the reply gesture on your own comments. That doesn't look to be the case currently? Just tested in this post and I just replied to myself instead.
