@possiblylinux127 This link you shared is interesting, the continuous attacks from their community are very obvious.
One thing, I am listed as a GrapheneOS supporter which is HILARIOUS. I wish I could contact this guy, I think they might have gotten that from be defending somewhat GMS sandboxing because another guy was saying some weird stuff.
@umami_wasbi @Alb087 auditing code is complicated, not everyone will know how to do that, and even the people who do can miss a lot
@Alb087 like look at this and tell me this doesn't scream commercial, about to steal your data?
@TheBigBrother Why's that? I mean DNS has the benefit of being able to do at network level and if I could I'd do it, but I do usually keep ublock origin in my browser.
@Alb087 i don't see it having more users, or ratings? ublock origin has 7m users, this has 1m. Plus, the websites to this ad blocker you mention seem like commercial. non-open-source software, I wouldn't doubt that this is spyware.
@Alb087 this mascot is giving me the creeps.
@Alb087 @TheBigBrother yeah DNS level is pretty limited.
@Alb087 why not use something more... trusted and probably better? ublock origin is the best around.
@TheDorkfromYork i use calyx with the moto g52
@Charger8232 I shouldn't even say anything but it's too much.
@Charger8232 @DARbarian I don't think that's it, it's more that they're a project where you're expected to buy a device for it, in this case a Pixel.
Pixels have amazing security features and they don't want to lose that.
@Charger8232 It makes it worse because they keep trying to make points and compare with others, like, OK, WE GET IT. Go on, continue fueling hate and then claim to be the victim.
@Charger8232 The main dev is definitely still there it seems, (and still making claims) more over the harassment comes from all the devs (and by consequence, users)
@marcie it doesn't really proxy or anything unfortunately
@marcie GMaps WV in F-Droid I think does similar of a job
