Point 3 is just wrong.
Japanese don't have easy access to guns and yet Japan has one of the highest suicide rates.
Same with Uruguay, highest suicide rate in America without having easy access to guns.
It's not the supplier "bleeding them" the supplier has the exact same problem the restaurant has, inflation, if they don't raise the prices they go bankrupt. It's a vicious cycle of everyone raising prices not to go bankrupt which causes everyone else to do the same.
It's like the us is always 20 years behind the rest of the world when it comes to things that actually matter.
I really blame Sync for defaulting to lemmy.world, imo lemmy.world should close to new registrations, at least while they're figuring things out.
