Oh thank goodness. /r/CasualUK is here too!
I just find the whole thing really false and shut off.
The answers provided by spez are completely useless and don't really further any discussion. This is all about damage control for the upcoming IPO in my opinion. Without users, active moderators and people willing to engage and discuss... the product is going to burn at IPO.
Here's hoping enough people can get into some simple Lemmy instances and help the 'verse grow. Time for me to find communities for LEGO and watches!
I'm completely new to this whole lemmy thing, but I'm hoping it can take off and grow to be a diverse and varied reddit alternative. Seeming really cool so far.
There are some subreddits that I really will miss and hope to see them come over to the lemmy-verse, but I think in the long run if lemmy can grow enough, I'll be content with the content (ha)
Recent reddit refugee!
Hey!
I'm going to take a while to get used to 'Lemmy' but this seems pretty cool so far.
I've used reddit for 8 years and have built up quite a collection of subs that I'm interested in. Hopefully we can see the Lemmy-verse grow to include them all!
I'm from the UK and have grown up loving football, food and technology - including gaming!
At the moment, I've got a PS5, Xbox SX, Switch, PC and a SteamDeck! I've also got a few older consoles and love a good old GameBoy. I currently main Destiny 2, but only as a very casual player. Hell Let Loose has taken up some of my time, too, but what I'm really holding out for is Starfield later this year! We're only a few days away from the live event, too.
Looking forward to hanging out and figuring this whole Lemmy thing out.
