What are your thoughts on clipless?
  • That is very good point about the climbs, didn't even think about that.

I never do jumps so thankfully that has been a non-issue :)

  • What are your thoughts on clipless?
  • This is pretty good idea, thank you! What pedals are you using? Do you you find that clipless pedals grip enough on the flat side?

  • What are your thoughts on clipless?
  • I'm usually riding what would be called trails. Some ups and downs, natural rocky and rooty terrain. No jumping.

I think I'm probably going to test out my gravel pedals for a loop or two and see how it feels before purchasing anything :)

  • What are your thoughts on clipless?

My trusty flat Five Tens are at the end of their life and I'm in need of new shoes. I ride SPD with my gravel bike and think my current clipless shoes for that are amazing.

That gets me to think maybe I should just ditch my flat pedals on mtb and get clipless. But I'm a little hesitant because of added risk of falling.

If you ride clipless on mtb or especially if you ride it both gravel and mtb, do you have any tips or thoughts to share?

What size my Bialetti Moka Express is? I'm in need of new gasket set but can't find 10 cup version anywhere.
  • Yeah it's seems to be something else. And oh is it bugging me now when I don't know.

  • What size my Bialetti Moka Express is? I'm in need of new gasket set but can't find 10 cup version anywhere.
  • Mine seemed to be 6 cup version. It holds about 300ml of water and the gasket was 71ml in diameter :)

  • What size my Bialetti Moka Express is? I'm in need of new gasket set but can't find 10 cup version anywhere.
  • Filling it to the safety valve it holds little over 300ml of water. Filling it to the brim it will hold about 440ml of water.

Edit: 6 cup version seems to be 300ml in size not 250ml. Also the diameter of the rubber matches.

I'm still confused what the stamp means, even though it doesn't matter.

  • What size my Bialetti Moka Express is? I'm in need of new gasket set but can't find 10 cup version anywhere.
  • I will try this. Do you fill it up to the safety valve or to the top?

  • What size my Bialetti Moka Express is? I'm in need of new gasket set but can't find 10 cup version anywhere.

Like the title says. I have 2012 Moka Express and the stamp in the bottom says "10" but can't seem to find 10 cup version anywhere.

  • You already have it. Try?

  • What have you been reading this week? [June 26-July 2, 2023]
  • I've just started The Stand by Stephen King. I finished 1Q84 from Murakami few weeks ago and somehow the hunger for again something longer got me. Oh well, this is going to take its own time.

    Good browser for security?
  • It is also available on Android.

  • Who are your favourite cycling YouTubers?
  • Park Tools is amazing when you need to figure out bike repairs. They have ridiculous amount of content on their channel.

  • Who are your favourite cycling YouTubers?
  • Dustin Klein is either great or annoying depending what you like. I find his content great, it's mostly gravel riding and some mtb mixed in.

Also in no particular order: BCPov, Van Girl Yuka, Bikepacking.com, Cade Media, Loam Ranger and Dangerous Dave.

  • What's your favorite format for books?
  • Currently kindle and audiobooks are my go-to. Love the feeling of good hardback but convenience is the key with ebooks.

  • This happened quickly…Lemmy is now the second biggest platform next to mastodon!?!
  • Ooh, lovely. I didn't find rhis on official app but switches to Megalodon and it works like a charm. Thank you!

  • *Permanently Deleted*
  • Anything black metal. I find it super calming. White noisines(?) of it works great. If anyone wants recommendations then bands ...And Oceans and Gaerea are my current go-to.

  • Wait, you can do that? Is it possible on the app?

  • Any tips for first century?

As the title says. I'm planning on doing my first century in July. Several +50km rides behind me at the moment and averaging about 100km a week since spring. How much food should I pack? Do you guys use sports drinks etc for hydration? Any surprises I shouls know comparing the ride to shorter ones?

    Thank you in advance :)
