As the other person said, you can directly start there. I was skeptical and started fresh but once I made it through the DLC I realized I wouldn't have missed anything if I had used the option to start right from the DLC.
Looks like I should give the game another try. I kind of enjoyed it, but not enough to come back regularly...

Die jüngeren Menschen in Bayern und Hessen haben offenbar gar keine Probleme mit Miethöhen, Zwangsarbeit bei Arbeitslosigkeit, nicht vorhandenem Arbeitsschutz, Mindestlohn usw. Alle reich mit Eigenheim, oder was?
