The three most common 2D transformations.
  • Oh it's... wait shit I'm dumb how dare you

  • When was the last time you cried?
  • Hope you're okay bud. If you ever need an outlet treat my inbox like a punching bag. Someone out here cares about you, even when you feel like nobody does (been there) 💙

  • A question for fellow millenials
  • I know it's super late, but thank you for this comprehensive analysis. I've been admittedly lax in recognising Dolly's greatness (I've always known she was awesome, but didn't quite recognise the extent, as a sheltered gay) but your post did open my eyes to how much catching up I have to do.

I haven't deleted the post because I did relate to Shania more, since she was my icon, but yeah... she doesn't hold a candle to Dolly, I'll admit that. Thanks for giving me a heads up for more things to watch, listen to, and appreciate Dolly for everything she is. 💙

  • A year after the disastrous breach, LastPass has not improved
  • Honestly as soon as they made supporting more than 1 device a "premium" feature I dropped them like a bad habit. Fuck LastPass, Bitwarden does exactly what they do but 1000x better

  • I miss them
  • Actual sir spotted

Bring out the Yorkshire Gold blend!

  • It is so sad that loyal reddit users got to care about this.
  • Their bullshit AMA about third party apps and general "it'll all blow over in a week" attitude should've made that apparent to more people. It's why I left as soon as RIF stopped working, and why many of us are here now.

I'll never give that shitshow of a website any traffic again

  • I can't be convinced otherwise
  • I haven't set foot in a public pool since I learned that chlorine doesn't have a smell, and that public pool "chlorine" smell is actually chloramines - made from the chlorine in the pool reacting with ammonia in urine.

Avoiding the shark is just an added bonus

  • Q: why? Is August 19th yet another supposed apocalypse I've mysteriously survived through? 'Cos tbh as a millennial I'm tired of these, there's been so many

  • A question for fellow millenials
  • No idols at all? I know they're all just people but c'mon... you must have someone you looked up to?

  • A question for fellow millenials
  • Tbh that was the song that got me listening to Shania in the first place. It is indeed a banger; Up! has many more. She's talented!

You are correct though, Dolly is incredible. I just wasn't really aware of her and everything she's done until relatively recently (I only watched Steel Magnolias for the first time this week - gay gasp - so I'm a little sheltered, one of my many flaws)

  • "Wanna listen to Limp Bizkit?"
  • 31 and love Limp Bizkit. Though I'm also a poster child for "it never was a phase, mom" (still listen to emo music + am still as gay as I was in the early 2000s)

...to clarify not implying that Limp Bizkit is emo, it just happened (happily) to be included in the music I was listening to at the time

    A question for fellow millenials

Without meaning to get offensive (because we still have Dolly Parton, and God bless her soul)... is Shania Twain our equivalent country queen?

I say this as someone who listened to Up! (both versions) throughout my formative years and honestly every single one of those songs was important to me at some point - from c'est la vie, which is fairly upbeat, to It Only Hurts When I'm Breathing, which is still my go-to sad song for when my depression catches up to me.

Just wanted to cast the feelers out; are we in the same boat? If not, why not? I want to contribute more but I want to know more about everyone here first 😅

Sign our petition to stop France from forcing browsers like Mozilla's Firefox to censor websites
  • It starts with the basics; piracy, cp, etc. Then it becomes whatever the highest-paying corporation wants to censor. Opposing political views? Check. Anything pro-free thinking? Check. There's no end to this, so we have to head it off at the pass. If corporations own the Web, we have lost (and we're shamefully close to that reality...)

  • The constitutional case that Donald Trump is already banned from being president
  • Good bot! (Don't know if that works on Lemmy but I love a good TL;DR)

  • The constitutional case that Donald Trump is already banned from being president
  • What worries me is that the majority of Americans DO think it matters. If anywhere near 51% of these cunts think he'd make a good "world leader" then the entire human population is fucked beyond belief (and they already let it happen once...)

  • How many of you are actually chatbots?
  • The traffic lights are on the pole, but the pole is only there to hold the traffic lights up so it doesn't count. The black box that contains the traffic lights does, though, even though by itself it can't be considered "traffic lights". Idk maybe I'm an AI

  • I totally would
  • Yeah. If it was possible to pirate food I wouldn't feel so bad about being so poor

  • Film companies demand names of Reddit users who discussed piracy in 2011
  • Not to mention the comparison between watching a movie at home, where you know it will be silent, versus the risk of having at least one (but often more) groups of people who will not shut the fuck up the whole time.

  • Opinion - What are your thoughts on password managers? Do you use one? Would you recommend it to others?
  • Same boat as you. When LastPass implemented their "subscribe to use on more than 1 device" policy I noped the fuck out of there so fast. Should've been on Bitwarden all along

  • YSK: If you're on Lemmy.World or Sh.itjust.works you should not subscribe to any Beehaw communities
  • Yeah I definitely wouldn't call Beehaw "too liberal", though I don't personally see being "for freedom" as a bad thing - you're definitely right. It's more about the moderation tools and being able to separate opposing points of view from relevant communities

...and in case I have not made it perfectly clear I think the fact that Nazis still exist in the information age is absolutely fucking absurd
