Episode 4,5 and 6 are great. The Prequels were a mess and visually did not fit, story was dreadful and George should have been shoo'd away.
The sequels are some of the worst cinema ever, and I have seen Vampire Trailer Park in full as well as the full, uncut version of Pink Flamingos.
Star Trek TNG and DS9. Brings back a lot of fond feelings and is my TV hug.
From the article "The trial will not start immediately and is expected to take several years."
It's one of the reasons I avoided Trek forums for years. Thankfully the Trek sub (now here) is a much calmer place and it turns out the more militant Trekkies are a very vocal minority.
Personally I'll be staying here and not going back to Reddit. I'd been winding down my use of Reddit recently anyway so the blackout was just the little push I needed to delete my account.
I believe the one the mods created is startrek.website
Come on over
Myers adds, “Honestly, I like to imagine that Klingons are a diverse species, and that means there are many different looks the Klingons have. It’s that simple.”
Kinda sums it up nicely.
Has there been a replacement for The Trove? Last time I looked all the links following the take down no longer worked.
Absolutely made up about this. Star Trek and the related subs were the only ones I used by the end of me being on Reddit.
Might help give an idea. Beehaw published their financials here
The demo was great fun.
Not many for me as I've been off gaming for a while.
Star Trek Infinite.
Gord.
Manor Lords.
It arrived an hour ago. Roll on the end of the day!
I've been on a marathon since April. In order I've watched Discovery season 2-4, SNW, TNG, DS9 and am at season 6 of Voyager. I've also broken up Voyager with the first 6 movies.
I did manage a couple of ToS episodes but I honestly find ToS hard to watch.
Voyager is feeling like a slog so it's not background viewing while I work from home and I've switched to The Orville for my evening viewing recently with a plan to watch Babylon 5 after.
Also Anton is a nod to Anton Yelchin who played Chekov in the new movies and he is voiced by Walter Koenig.
Yup. And Anton is a nod to Anton Yelchin who played Chekov in the newer movies. The president is also voiced by Walter Koenig
I've been trying to find a UK or at least EU timezoned game for a while and they are few and far between, even on the old Reddit STA discords.
I've got some personal stuff coming up in the next month or so but once that's settled I'll try and find a group again.
I can send you the discord links for them if you fancy. US timezone seems to get a fair few groups.
I've been ploughing through Trek since April and am finally at season 6 of Voyager. While it is better than I remember it's still my second least favourite Trek so far. Some really good episodes but the ratio of stinkers and/or just plain boring ones seems very high and I am finding it a real stamina battle.
I tried watching an hour long video yesterday on YouTube. So many ads. So today I shall sort out a rip of the video I think so I can watch stuff uninterrupted.
Nothing right now but I have Foundryside coming tomorrow which I am looking forward to
Space: Above and Beyond
This is an old forgotten gem of a sci fi series from the 90's. Created by a couple of the X-Files writers it was unfortunately cut before a second season could be made.
Personally it is one of my favourite series and as it's here on YouTube I'd recommend it to everyone.
Premise 'Set in the years 2063–2064, the show focuses on the "Wildcards", members of the United States Marine Corps 58th Squadron of the Space Aviator Cavalry. They are stationed on the space carrier USS Saratoga, acting as both infantry and pilots of SA-43 Endo/Exo-Atmospheric Attack Jet ("Hammerhead") fighters, battling an invading force of extraterrestrials.'
