Make no mistake, the owning class is actively working against your interests
  • Sure you can argue that your financial situation is a bit better, but the power dynamics between yourself and owners is still the same regardless if you make a lot or a little and more importantly, salaries change. When your job isn't considered competitive anymore you'll be in the same boat or if you get laid off or you get sick, etc.

  • UAW announces push to organize nonunion plants after strike wins [Lauren Irwin | 11/29/23 | The Hill]
  • The Swedish union IF Metal is currently striking on Tesla, and the conflict has resulted in many other unions entering their own strikes targeting Tesla in solidarity. One of them, SEKO which handles deliveries have prevented Tesla from acquiring license plates and they have sued the Swedish government for this because Tesla cannot get their license plates now.

For the other strikers they've used all manner of underhanded tactics to dodge the strike. Scabs, alternative suppliers for foreign countries, etc.

They're fighting tooth and nail against unions. It's disgraceful.

  • Microsoft’s Activision Blizzard deal approved by UK regulators
  • Out of all these studios I suppose I like Microsoft's games the most, but I still think it's bad that the regulators didn't shoot down this merger from the view of competitiveness.

I don't think the gaming market is healthy when only a handful of corporations like Microsoft, Ubisoft, EA Games and SquareEnix hold what I assume to be 75% of the gaming AAA market. It restricts creativity and stifles competition and the ones paying the price are going to be us consumers.

Even worse if they go and start vendor locking games to Windows, which sucks for us Linux gamers or Xbox which sucks for Playstation gamers.

  • What Happens to Rich People Under Socialism? - Second Thought
  • Yes you could argue that making rich people equal could be a form of violence, but you could just the same argue that rich people are committing violence against regular people daily.

The basis of our society is set up to prevent us from using natural resources and using the land of the earth under the threat of violence.

  • The bosses will never pay us our fair share unless we force them to
  • Oh really? Because I did a presentation of inflation in grade 8. I didn't have the same understanding of it back then as I did later when I decided to study macroeconomics through college literature so I kind of regret what I said during that presentation. You sound like you've been especially unfortunate and lagged behind on your studies and I thought my teachers were holding me back, but in your case I assume you might not have had any real interest in learning anyway. That's at least what you show evidence of during these conversations.

  • The bosses will never pay us our fair share unless we force them to
  • That's a basic understanding of inflation that is taught to children in elementary school, but it's not correct as I've explained to you earlier. Also people don't set prices or wages from the money supply for the simple fact that pretty much nobody knows how large money supply is compared to their good or service or what the price of wage should be compared to the money supply.

In fact it's entirely divorced from the money supply which we can see an example of in the rampant price increases of property which haven't followed inflation but rather increased unproportionally fast.

  • The bosses will never pay us our fair share unless we force them to
  • No I'm not. Prices for products or services drive inflation. Consumer price index (which inflation is) is literally derived from goods.

But even from a less pedantic point of view and examining the causes for inflation, wages are only a small part of what determines the price for a product. Wages among the people who extract rubber for your tires are extremely low and fixed by the buyers of this rubber. The local buyer then processes it and takes a markup, but the huge price increases is when they in turn need to sell the processed rubber to world corporations and they buy it for extremely cheap and then toss in a huge markup and sell it to the west. The meaningful wages in the product that goes directly to workers might be as low as 10% of the price of the final product.

The ultimate goal here is to costs, and primarily wages so they can extract a maximum amount of surplus value from the workers, and there's nothing in this world that guarantees that workers will be paid a certain percentage or even a reasonable amount. The claim you make is downright laughable because it's so wrong both in practice and theory.

Therefore, the claim that wages are the only drivers for inflation or even the primary driver is a complete lie! We are drained for billions of dollars to the capitalist parasite class every step in the production chain until it's finally distributed. This extraction is so valuable that entire countries can be financed through VAT alone.

It's truly disheartening that there are still people like you roaming around and spreading misinformation and citing neoliberal think tank pseudoscience.

  • The bosses will never pay us our fair share unless we force them to
  • That's a common argument surrounding worker activities that rings quite hollow because inflation happens because the money supply is being increased or because the money supply is being devalued for some other reason. Higher wages can in theory contribute to inflation but in practice inflation is caused by price increases by vendors. If there were no such price increases we would just see higher wages... and possibly lower profits... which is what we want.

  • Superiority brings controversy
  • And another thing you can add to that fact is that Windows users gets to enjoy the best of the Linux apps. VLC, Gimp, Audacity, OBS, etc. That's a big reason why Windows is even usable for an average user.

Around half my applications on Windows were FOSS even before I moved to Linux and I used them for a long time. The proprietary apps I did use, I don't really miss. I also doubt anybody actually likes having to install drivers on Windows or browse the web for apps. It's just extra bullshit.

  • Superiority brings controversy
  • Windows users? I mean the reason why Linux users proclaim the superiority of Linux is because Windows users always say that they want to leave Windows but XYZ doesn't work or Linux, making Linux look like it's feature poor which isn't the case.

  • Why The Government Has Infinite Money
  • You're being melodramatic! As if there's any democracy in parliamentarism anyway! You're basically telling me that people who challenge their society gets arrested and some might die. I don't sympathize with people willing to sacrifice themselves for a state or a nation. That's foolish, especially when this state has been defeated! The geographical location of Ukraine has been Russian for a very long time and I'm curious what you think Ukrainian (as opposed to Russian) culture even is. The state of Ukraine is barely 33 years old! Additionally Russia organizes itself into regions with varying levels of autonomy, sometimes regions with very high autonomy. It's not like a country such as Poland or Czechia where there's little difference between the regions.

You're wrong about the outcome of nuclear war. The only way only Russia is exterminated by nuclear war would be 1) If the US would attack first and 2) If they resign to their fate without retaliating or 3) it happens in your fantasy. 1 and 2 are highly unlikely. 3 is guaranteed but not helpful.

It's true that MLs hate America as it exists right now. Even if you ignore all of the other faults of USA, they're the primary enforcer of capitalism after all. America effectively runs the world, holds the exchange currency of the world, decides international law (especially surrounding the internet and intellectual property) and isn't held accountable by anything or anyone, not even its own citizens. The reason why MLs might support many of Americas enemies is because America decides to be enemies with Marxist-Leninist states. You have to ask yourself how reasonable it is to have a country consistently deciding to make enemies of other countries because they run a different society. Russia however isn't Marxist-Leninist so MLs don't have a stake in defending Russia.

Most people are pawns, not just Ukrainians. Like I said; we're slaves and additionally many are undereducated and uninformed. If people want to truly be their own people they should aspire to break free from capitalist propaganda but many just eat it right up. Even you seem to treat Ukrainians like pawns since you believe that so many will be unable to live in Russia, maybe you should give them more credit than that?
