Luke Correia has a fantastic dub of this meme.
If anyone hasn't watched the latest Wendover Productions video, I highly recommend it.
It covers John Deere's transition into a technology company and details why they're laying off a lot workers. Link
WHOOPS I didn't mean to reply to you lol, just to the post.

I agree with you but trust me it isn't worth debating people with this stance because it isn't about fixing the issue, it's about imagining a world where you're not beholden to absolutely any of the realistic constraints and can wish away any problems.
It's about as far from pragmatism as you can get.
Both are incredibly unsettling however.
I can't dunk too hard on a country with federally legal weed.
That along and the promise of meaningful carbon capture in our lifetime.
What sucks is this is getting in the way of implementing actual meaningful solutions we have today like better public transit and policy that discourages private vehicle use and flying.
Solar and wind will always need batteries for times of low output, until we get more resilient and larger capacity batteries we will need a backbone to support the electricity grid to avoid having to overbuild battery capacity.
As of right now natural gas is that backbone but that could change and very well be nuclear energy until we figure out something like mass produced solid state batteries.
In London's case the health system is only getting worse because they keep cutting public funds to it. There literally isn't enough to run it.
That's what happens when you cut public spending a year over year without any care about what you're taking it away from.
It's clear there is very little profit incentive for these companies to build a proper emulator if the community is able to run circles around them.
That's why game preservation really has to be left up to the community. It's a shame that our legal system can't see that.
Well, there goes my weekend.
Congratulations you're experiencing burnout and/or depression!
You can look forward to such exciting prospects as society telling you to just "feel better" and gaslighting yourself into thinking you're just lazy!
But wait there's more! If you act right now you can also experience self loathing for not being you're best self for your loved ones!
In all seriousness help is available. Take time to reconnect with yourself and seek out resources. Lean on your friends when you need to. Healing is a process and it doesn't happen all at once.
Actually beans are pretty carbon friendly, it's the red meat you got to worry about.
Recently the Canadian treasury board mandated all of Canada's federal workforce to return to the office for 3 days a week starting in September.
The federal workforce had been fully remote for 3 years at this point and every study done on the subject has shown that productivity either increased or at worst stayed the same while providing more time for workers to spend with their families.
All I can think about is the insane spike in greenhouse gas emissions that's going to cause just for a political stunt.
I mean compared to Lemmy most spaces are getting conservative
That's one of the starting systems in Stellaris!
