I like it :o
Discord definitely had this problem. I helped some streamers set up their discords and usually the problem was a bunch of channels that sound like a good idea but get one post a week usually unrelated to the topic. Focusing content into a few channels is also much, much easier to keep an eye on.
finally, I can share my JO folder
What a weird sub to focus on, spez really does not give a fuck about optics
Basically just doomers poisoning the well. People who got a B in social studies and think they understand corporate economics
It started to click in my head today and then once all the defederation talk started I am confused again
Finally, a righteous use for ai art
A far dated put maybe
Rule 2: embrace the robot
Isn't this just a Motte and Bailey
Completely ignoring the real issue in favor of "the silent majority"
Monetization is cool until one remembers this is never a meritocracy and the money will go to the people with the best business plan, not the best content
Website issue
Hi, suddenly it started doing this, I'm not sure if this is on my side but I haven't changed anything. It does this in desktop mode but I haven't tried an actual desktop
AI incest?
what distro to start?
hi,
I have had to use windows for a long time because of school (word and excel, the ms version, was like mandatory, tho free), and I have been interested in trying or at least learning linux more.
I tried once before on Manjaro but I messed up the install and I was having annoying issues with the graphics drivers with an nvidia card (having to manually change the settings for two monitors and the refresh rate every time i rebooted, for instance). That was around 4 years ago now though.
My main question was what distro I should try? I am fairly experienced so I know my way around things but not in linux, and I am okay with learning curves.
It seems like everyone has a different answer for this so I wanted to hear suggestions. Thank you
Back in my day we had to find an obscure irc server or forum to horny post on >:(

Helloooo
Hi, I have been looking for some slightly lower traffic places to chill at and learning about lemmy and similar communities has been neat :) about 10 days ago I saw someone post about it as a reddit alternative, and I said I was surprised no one had set up a furry one yet. But here it is now connected just a few days after that!!
I am not 100% sure how this whole subcommunities of subcommunities works but it doesn't seem that complicated. I haven't been very social the past year while recovering out of some things in my life so I am making a concerted effort to be more social. Feel free to dm me if anyone wants to talk!
Hopefully I don't just post a few times and then completely forget about it!
My name is foxy (she/her) and I am a fox fox fox fox fox fox
