@nichtsowichtig Die Headline ist perse schon mal quatsch. Wenn etwas verbunden wird, dann ist es das Fediverse mit Bluesky (wobei auch das falsch ist, da es diese Verbindung schon seit über einen Jahr gibt, jedoch nur von einen Projekt realisiert wurde). Von der im Artikel beschriebenen Brücke ist dann natürlich auch Lemmy, kbin, etc. betroffen, da die Brücke das AP Netz mit Bluesky verbinden will.
Da Bluesky openSource ist, gehe ich eher davon aus, dass das Protokoll (AT-P) durch irgend ein Projekt integriert und damit Bestandteil des Projekts werden wird. Interessant dürfte dabei die DID sein, die einen nahtlosen User-Wechsel zwischen den Instanzen erlaubt. Man darf also davon ausgehen, dass sich die Projekte gegenseitig befruchten werden.

Also, bisher war das hier ein Austausch von Argumenten. Genau so wie das im Fediverse sein soll. Die Begriffe "Dumm" und "Hohepriester" wurde von dir eingebracht und sind wenig sachlich.
Davon abgesehen.. was unterscheidet deine Argumente als "Hohepriester" von denen die @Hiker einbringt. Oder verwendest du solche Floskeln nur als Totschlägerargument?
Fakten sind wichtig. Nur so kann zwischen Falsch und Richtig unterschieden werden. Wir sollten nicht den Fehler machen und Dinge unbenannt lassen, nur weil sie erklärt werden müssen. Übrigens: Die Macher von Threads unterscheiden aus guten Grund sehr genau zwischen den Dingen. Und sie wissen, dass sie ihren Nutzenden erklären müssen, was das Fediverse ist. Ich bin mir sehr sicher, dass sie diese Aufgabe sehr genau und präzise beschreiben werden und ihre Nutzenden damit nicht überfordern werden.

Die Potenziale des Fediverse über Mastodon zu beschreiben, wäre in etwa so, als würde ich ein iPhone als Wecker benutzen und darüber argumentieren.

Es gibt nun einmal grundlegende technische und organisatorische Aspekte, die mit der von dir gewünschten Vereinfachung nicht zu machen ist. Spätestens mit Threads wird das Argument "Mastodon" als Synonym für das Fediverse zu verwenden scheitern. In absoluten Zahlen werden die Threads User die größte Nutzerbasis sein.
Das Fediverse vereint nun einmal verschiedene Absätze von Kommunikation. Microblog ist nur ein Aspekt von vielen. Bezogen auf die Kommunikationsvarianten ist es der kleinste Anteil.
Um das Fediverse adäquat zu beschreiben, braucht es mehr, als nur eine einfache aber falsche Formel.

There are several macroblog platforms in the Fediverse. My personal favourite is #Friendica. It's certainly not the most intuitive platform. But it works extremely well and has the most connectivity (next to Hubzilla).
In addition to AP, Diaspora and a number of other older Fedi protocols, I'm connected to Tumblr & Bluesky here and can interact directly with users there.
The UI got stuck sometime in the middle of 2015. More front-end developers are needed to remedy this shortcoming.
Firefish, on the other hand, is super modern but feels a bit sluggish (for my taste). Alongside Friendica, it's actually a great platform, also because both use RSS and Markdown, a markup language that's great for creating structured content.

If I follow the internal discussions at Diaspora, it doesn't want to either and it has been justified in various places that AP is not an alternative for Diaspora.
diaspora* has no interest in implementing ActivityPub, so I don't know what your question even means.

Ich sage demnach, dass meine Daten an einen Endpunkt indiziert werden dürfen, damit sie durchsuchbar werden, richtig?
Im Stream sind jedoch weiterhin alle Daten enthalten und der Endpunkt muss diese unabhängig vom opt-in Status verarbeiten. Das muss so sein, weil andernfalls die Federation gebrochen wird. Die Spezifikation von ActivityPub sagt ja nichts darüber aus wie mit einen opt-out am Endpunkt umgegangen werden soll (oder bin ich da nicht auf den aktuellen Stand?).
