Manchester Airport: Police filmed stamping and kicking man's head
  • Oh we will be. There is video evidence they can't really get out of this one.

What they never really need to do is stop hiring criminals. And when there are warning signs (there are always warning signs, this is never their first offense), they need to be fired, immediately.

  • Disability campaigner unable to collect award on stage due to no ramp
  • or as simple as getting your office to consider using sans-serif fonts and light coloured backgrounds for black text instead of white. It’s something that all of us can help with.

So many restaurant menus that I can't read as a result of this decision. No idea who thinks it's a good idea to have yellow text on a pale yellow background.

  • Death Valley heat melts skin off a man's feet after he lost his flip-flops in the dunes
  • Might seem like a stupid question but that's Fahrenheit right not Celsius? I like how in the article they unnecessarily clarify that he's talking about temperature in degrees, (a concussed duckling would be able to work that one out) but not the unit of temperature.

  • I went to Death Valley once on a tour and the minibus fell off the road. We had to open the door so that we could get some leverage so we could push it out of the small hole that it had fallen in and in the time that we had the door open the plastics on the door completely melted. We were all very hungover as well so it wasn't really a very good experience.

  • Humans seem to have a special mental gap when it comes to mountains. It's warm and sunny so they go up in flip-flops and tiny short shorts, but on the actual mountain it's freezing cold and often raining and they require rescuing because at some point they either fall over due to trying to wander around in what are essentially plastic slippers, or they're too cold and they can't carry on.

We know that the temperature drops as you go up and yet somehow that seems to fail to register for people.

  • Super-rich being advised how to avoid Labour tax clampdown, undercover investigation suggests
  • Yes they do but voting does matter because if we vote into such a way that the rich don't like they can't do anything about it they've already lost. I get so sick of this, "they are all the same" attitude, because firstly that's demonstrably untrue, and secondly even if it was true boating indicates a direction the public wants the government to go in and that's useful.

  • Top Russian economist dies after falling out of window
  • The USSR were high on assassinations of their own people if that's what you're asking. Obviously it's not a brilliant strategy because it just means that the people who are the most talented are going to not want to rise to the top or going to want to the rise to the top in other countries.

It's ultimately self-defeating, which of course is why only Putin thinks it's a swell idea.

  • UK 'Crackdown' on Pirate IPTV Streaming Leads to Three Arrests & 40 Warnings.
  • So this crackdown is really just punishing people that download content off the internet and put it on a device, then sell it to other people. As opposed to people who download content off the internet and put it on a device, and then keep it for themselves?

So basically this is just a crank down on people who are not very technical.

  • I actually got sick of the Chromecast. It's such a pain to use, you may as well just set up something to stream from your PC. Microscopic extra trouble of turning the computer on before you use the TV is worth it not to have to deal with the awful UX of Chromecast.

  • Spoiler text renders as white on white when revealed

When you reveal a spoiler the black rectangles go away and it then renders the text in white, but on a white background (light coloured theme) The text renders is exactly the same colour as the background and so you can not see it unless you highlight the post, this renders the background of the post as light grey and there is just about enough contrast difference to now read the text.

When spoiler text is revealed it should render in the same colour as normal text. I'm not sure why it's white.

    See images below for demonstration.

    !spoiler text is hidden

!spoiler text has been revealed but is invisible

!text post is highlighted and now you can see the spoiler text rendered in white
