YouTube's ‘War’ on Adblockers Shows How Google Controls the Internet
  • It's too much of a pain to use for me personally. I really don't want to spend time figuring out which scripts to enable every time I visit a new site. Adblock I can just turn on and forget with minimum effort.

  • The best open-source games you know
  • Since you mentioned OpenMW I thought I should mention Daggerfall Unity. It's an rewrite of Daggerfall using the Unity engine, also requiring the original files. The best thing about is that the developers have made it easily moddable and a very healthy modding community has sprung up for it, some of which really make the game feel like what the original developers were going for but had to deal with the technical limitations of the time.

  • The eShop may be closed, but this little device is always going to be favorite.
  • As in if you get the update you can't apply the hacks? Am I good if I have an old hacked one or do I need to watch our for Nintendo doing some sneaky update that'll brick it? I hacked mine like 4 years ago but I haven't touched it a while so not sure if I need to do anything else.

  • I really want to like Lemmy
  • If I'm spending less time staring at my phone and more time picking up a book or something, all the better for me. I've found myself engaging more and doomscrolling less though, so the time feels more well spent even though I'm spending less time then I would have on reddit.

  • Why are we showing our hand by un-privating the subreddit after only 48 hours???
  • Stash it all somewhere or migrate it here if possible, then torch the place. Users will follow the content, if the /r/piracy userbase all move somewhere else, then that platform will grow and we won't have to put up with reddit anymore.
