What is your honest opinion on EndeavourOS?
  • It's my favorite Linux distro nowadays. It has the DIY element of Arch but without the complexities of its installation process. Effectively that has allowed me to use it as a daily driver on my main machine, but also a stripped down OS for an emulation console with a wide selection of packages. I wasn't happy with the whole grub fiasco, but the fix was easy and it was nice to see that they added systemd-boot as an option. Overall, it's pretty easy for me to recommend.

  • 10 years ago, Google launched the 2nd-gen Nexus 7, and no tablet has captured its magic since
  • That was my experience with the 2012 model. Once it received the 5.0 Lollipop update, it couldn't handle basic tasks without significant slowdowns. CyanogenMod improved things a bit, but it was never the same after about 3 years of use.

  • Anyone install Linux on a Chromebook?
  • I installed EndeavorOS on an old Acer Chromebox and it was pretty straightforward. MrChromebox.tech has everything you need. Of course, compatibility varies so you have to check the list to make sure your Chromebook is supported.
