Inefficient energy wise. Not timewise.
Honestly. How stupid do you have to be to write this? Its impossible to give credit to NATO for wars that never happened, because.. they never happened. And you somehow think that’s proof NATO doesn’t work?
Why don’t you try looking for the reduction in war and death instead? We had two world wars in a 20 year span. How many have we had in the nearly 80 years since? Totally proof NATO is a sham..
Or, you know, a bunch of countries who agree not to invade each other. Sounds kinda nice to me. Also, to help each other if invaded… it really sounds like… a way to prevent war.
But sit there with your insane words and pretend Russia isn’t actively trying to capture a peaceful and sovereign nation.

I wasn’t excited. I was too busy wondering how people in the US were too stupid (a general humanity problem to be sure) to realize the world wasn't ending when nothing happened in all the other time zones that transitioned to the new year before us.
Ah, so they should just stop helping. Yes?
THAT’s why Diet Coke was on sale again.
eventually both of you will come to a conclusion
But not necessarily an agreement.
I don’t see this winning, but I do see SLAPP suits and harassment bring an issue for our administrators. You also have to consider LEO investigations and cybersecurity requirements. This is something folks need to understand and harden themselves for now, or get out of the game.
Would an app that pulls directly from each server (anonymously) or an app that pulls from dedicated servers (while logged in/subbed) be better? The first is more efficient but the instance owners likely won’t be [financially] supported, while the latter requires duplication and is prone to defederation issues. In the end I suspect overcoming defederation will be a significant design goal of third party apps.
Is it common to need to continually login?
I’m on web in mobile. Based on the behavior so far, tokens or cookies aren’t working well. I honestly don’t know what’s used here yet.. I should do some more research. The bottom line is, I seem to need to log back in every few clicks between communities/instances. Just wondering if this is a common experience right now?
Thanks! Hopefully my neighbors don’t burn down the neighborhood.
A viral left-wing Twitter account may have been fake all along
“I strongly suspect that this person doesn’t exist,” said John Scott-Railton, a senior researcher at the Citizen Lab at the University of Toronto who studies online disinformation. “It’s as if she dropped from the moon and arrived fully formed with this narrative that makes liberals look like idiots.”
I think the de facto community will take hold eventually for each subject, or we will simply have more than one. No big. Reddit had the same, each under different names. Here the name includes the instance.
had they simply not decided to anger all their power users
It was Huffman. It was inevitable.
