Sticher shutting down

stitcher.helpshift.com STITCHER FAREWELL — Stitcher Help Center

Are you looking for help with STITCHER FAREWELL for Stitcher?

With Sticher shutting down after I just found a great Podcast app, I will be switching to Pocket Casts. What is everyone else using?

What is everyone’s favorite Linux distribution?
  • Ubuntu and debian based distros have been a long time favorite. Recently switched to Fedora and the Cinnamon desktop. It has a nice feel and user experience as well.

What is difficult now is the base OS to choose, but also the desktop experience. I think the desktop choice is also what makes the Linux experience and distro choice for people these days.

  • Anyone want the domain name homelab.community ?
  • Seems like a great reuse for a new selfhost style community using lemmy/kbin. How much are you asking for it, or willing to part for it?

  • Find the cat
  • It’s a good one once you find it!

  • Find the cat
  • A bit of some camouflage and a lazy cat. Maybe where’s Washy for @[email protected]

  • Find the cat

    Can you find it? !

How to do a post on lemmy with a spoiler
  • Isn’t markdown great!

  • Geddit will withhold the 0.18 Lemmy release
  • An account activation email could work too right. Not let the account do anything until it’s been clicked on the activation email by the user? Not so say that isn’t bypass-able either.

  • Thunder for Lemmy now has a TestFlight as well
  • I finally got AltStore working then saw the TestFlight. Got both and interested to see what else AltStore can do too.

  • Test post from Mlem on iOS
  • Trying out the Thunder app too!

  • Thunder for Lemmy now has a TestFlight as well

Thunder now has a test flight app for iOS along with the AltStore option

Posting from the test flight install!

Are there any Reddit refugees spending more time on Lemmy than Reddit?
  • Only need one account and can interact across the fediverse. If there’s a community you like on another instance you can interact with the posts and users there too. An instance is kinda like an email account. We all have our own preferred provider and can send an email to another.

This might help a little too https://fediverse.info/

  • Call to Lemmy instance admins!
  • Also is there a 2FA option that can be enabled for users?

  • We may not have many local communities but certain a lot federated!
  • I think that is the great part, somehow it has stayed relatively small. Some of the federation is overkill since I've seen folks posting the same article 100 different places even though we see if on the other sites across the fediverse and platforms.

  • If you looking to easy self-host almost everything take a look at this gem!
  • Yunohost I’ve seen before, need get some more use if it and install a few things!!

  • Reddit subs that offically migrated to Lemmy?
  • @[email protected] posted about this new resource as well: Lemmy Community Explorer

It's not any official reddit to fediverse guide, but a way to find other communities as well across the fediverse and lemmy platform.

  • I've been using linux for a long time. Typically stuck with Ubuntu and upgrading when the next LTS was released. I did try other flavors like ubuntu budgie as well. Also liked ZorinOS for a year or two.

Then things like elementary were fun to use, but for a daily driver, I like a little more main stream OS and desktop experience.

Currently using Fedora cinnamon for the last year. I have some VMs that probably stay the longest, but for my personal laptop, I usually spend a year or two on it.

  • Does anyone actually use LibreOffice?
  • For basic word processing and excel like items I’ve used it and recommend it for others. Especially when I’m on my Linux desktop. I’ve used it for some small businesses as well so they could open and send files for work.

  • ZeroTier is great! There’s another one out there I know of that haven’t used.

  • Posting comment issues?

Anyone else having issues posting comments? I seem to be able to comment at the top of the thread, but replying to comments it just spins on the posting. Might have been a thread on the mstdn.social account from @[email protected]
