Destiny 2 Metroidvania-Style Expansion Teased by Bungie
>In Bungie's latest developer livestream, the team teased that the Apollo expansion for Destiny 2 will include a "Metroidvania-inspired destination." This game was fantastic — great story, art style, gameplay. It's very hard, but there are sliders to control the difficulty. I have this game in my top 10 metroidvanias, so I'm excited for others who don't have a PC to try it out

Agreed. I'm working on the Prince of Persia DLC, and then switching to the new Zelda…
I have not. I see it getting decent reviews (80-85%-ish). Between this and other high profile releases, I think it'll be in my backlog

It was fantastic and I look forward to it next year!
Congrats to her and Raygun’s new found fame. I loved watching the whole thing and look forward to watching the men’s competition tomorrow.
Keep in mind — this is KOMO News, who regularly pushes the “crime” narrative as a political policy, independent of whether it’s accurate or not.
I never played Outer Wilds, but Tunic, Fez, Animal Well, the Witness, etc. are some of my absolute favorites. I’m with you…
The other type that I hate — a charm that is only available at the endgame that should appear sooner if it's to have any value to you playing. Case in point: a fast-travel charm in Blast Brigade that is only available as one of the very last acts. Great game, otherwise.
I loved the demo for this game and while there aren't many reviews out, the ones that are are really positive.
Anyone have any ideas as to why it might not be generating thumbnail previews when creating a post? I checked and Kickstarter and Youtube are doing OpenGraph correctly, so there seems to be something else going on.
You just described what I’m going through 100%.
I’m down! As long as they work their way to “E.T. Rising”
I didn't get to posting about it, but I saw last week the announcement about "Beyond the Ice Palace 2", which is the metroidvania sequel to a 1988 Amiga game. Bizarre that now is the time to cash in on the social capital these two games have built up over the years 🤷🏼
I bought it after the positive reviews and have only been able to get to the city after the prologue, so you’re already farther than myself. But part of why I put it down was because it felt too soon to introduce this reprieve from the Metroidvania gameplay loop.
I have every faith that it’ll “get to the good stuff”, but I did have a similar feeling to you. I’m going to give it another hour in a bit.
There's a demo on Steam
I love it. Funniest play I’ve seen in a long time.
Maybe it would've been better if he had made the shot, but give them something to laugh about, some excitement.
