miscarriage
  • "Do things without her asking (make meals, clean)"
    I can't emphasize this enough.
When I had a miscarriage my husband took care of everything around the house. Literally everything. For one week I only had to worry about myself. I had 24 hours a day to do wathever I needed in that moment. No cleaning, cooking, feeding the cats, not having to remember any chores that needed to be done. That was the best he could have done and I was so thankful for it.

After one week i started working again and slowly helping out more and more until thing went back to normal.
Being able to only worry about myself for a whole week helped so much with my heeling.

  • I stopped using reddit after spez's AmA. If all of this would have been handled in a more mature and open way, I would probably have moved to the reddit app, complained about it for a while, but kept usind reddit. But after what happened in the last weeks, reddit is no longer something I want to be associated with.
For lack of a better description, I simply don't 'like' reddit anymore. It's like a friend who treated you like shit.. Sure, you could still go to a party together and have fun, but it's just not quite the same anymore.

It's not so much about what they did, most people understand reddit has to make money at some point. It's the how that is driving people away imho. At least it is for me.

  • Reddit is a Dying Mall
  • I don't think they will lose a lot of users on 1st of July. But some moderators will leave, others will continue with shitty tools that make their job hard. Overall, there will be more spam and more rule-breaking comments. Whether it will be bad enough to make people leave the site at some point, I don't know.

  • Reddit pressures mods to end the blackout as they find new ways to protest
  • “We’ll no longer comment on hearsay, unsubstantiated claims, or baseless accusations from The Verge. We’ll be in touch as corrections are needed.” In the absence of corrections, then, you can assume Reddit believes none are necessary.

Lol, you have to love that last sentence.

  • Lemming user asks for ways to stop themselves from pooping for 3 days.
  • They did have a toilet behind a small curtain and they would play music while it was being used. They were encouraged to use it as little as possible. So, yeah, OP could be making a joke about that.
Or it's someone going on a camping trip who doesn't want/can't use public toilets.

  • (Discussion) Would you pay for Reddit Premium IF it allowed you to continue using your favorite app?
  • I had reddit premium although I used a third party app. I wanted to support the platform. I spent so much time on it and really liked the way reddit worked.. being centered around communities and giving them the power to have their own rules.

I canceled my subscription a week ago and will not go back. Needless to say, this isn't a company I want to have any of my money.
