March update, Bluetooth Audio, and alarm clock
  • Unfortunately the manufacturer doesn't offer support or replacement parts anymore. My acoustician could semi-fix them for now but I'd rather trial new ones on my own terms and not when I have to.

  • g is the acceleration applied by Earth's gravitational force (for masses much smaller than Earth's, that are pretty close, i.e. essentially everything you typically interact with) and is approximately 9.81 m/s^2

  • March update, Bluetooth Audio, and alarm clock
  • Unfortunately I can't help you but I'd be very interested in your hearing aids, since mine will have to be replaced soon.

Are they always connected? Can you listen to music and make calls with them? What is the battery life like? If you used Bluetooth (or wired) headphones: how do they compare in audio quality? Are they directly connected to the phone or do they still need that thing you have to wear around your neck? Which brand/model are they?

  • Salads Grown in Space May Pose a Deadly Problem
  • TL;DR:

The problem is growing leafy plants like lettuce and spinach in space can come with a side dish of bacteria, according to a new study from a team at the University of Delaware. In tests on plants grown in simulated microgravity, they were shown to actually be more susceptible than normal to the Salmonella enterica pathogen.

  • If only l could've used those math skills to study
  • I know it sounds dumb, but lying still and thinking the same word over and over seems to help me if nothing else does the trick. If you notice yourself thinking something different just get back to it.

  • Robot Kills Man After Mistaking Him for Box of Vegetables
  • The robotic arm pushed the man’s upper body down against the conveyor belt, crushing his face and chest, according to Yonhap.

I'm kind of lacking imagination how that makes sense for a robot arm that is supposed to lift boxes. Anyone have an idea?

  • Help, I buy stuff I never play
  • I can relate, between work and chores, there's not much time left. The last time I really played was back in school, with people I've lost contact with. If I wanted to play now, realistically I'd have to DM which brings us back to the whole lack of time thing.

  • Setting up a Minecraft server for minimal data collection?

Hi, I will possibly be hosting a semi public Minecraft server (it would be invite only, but more or less with strangers). The players would be predominantly from the EU, so GDPR protections would apply.

To reduce possible liability and the amount of work when someone requests their data, I would like to limit logging of personally identifying information. Do you have any experience or possibly know if a guide that you could point me towards? Not asking for legal advice, just technical.
