It also depends a bit on what kind of game you are playing, though. If I am playing a fps on mouse and keyboard, I can 100% tell the difference between 144 fps and 100 when moving the camera around, But I would definitely not be able to tell the difference in a RTS, third person shooter or even on a video tbh.
