Redditfugee. I remember this happening on Digg too Sigh
Wouldn't piss on him if he was on fire!
Glad I read the small print note BEFORE I posted my original comment!!

As someone whose eye sight is shit, websites with grey text on an off-white page piss me right off.
We (Aussies from Melbourne) tried to find decent Chinese food in England and gave up. Most of it was worse than Australian Chinese from the 1970's! The Indian and Turkish restaurants however, were amazing.
Yay! The Nostromo finally gets a mention. The attention to detail in the ship is amazing and a whole new set of warning symbols were designed for it.
Lurch doesn't look happy that her favourite punching bag will soon be off limits!
Pullo and Vorenus were great characters!
Maybe . . . just maybe, if neo-nazi's are coming out to support your side of the debate . . . you might actually be one of the baddies.
Oh No! . . . . . . . . Anyway!
Lemmy is great. Altho now it's full of Linus apologists so it sucks atm. Also Memmy is fantastic!
I migrated from Digg to Reddit in Dec 2009. I've gone through several accounts since then. I've deleted the most recent accounts and have tried to delete the older ones - although Reddit won't let me delete one account for some reason (delete keeps failing). I joined the Aussie Zone Lemmy instance and love it here. One thing I think redditfugees need to remember is that Lemmy instances are not ad supported, so WE NEED TO FINANCIALLY SUPPORT OUR HOME INSTANCES!
Those clowns want a return to the dark ages. Theocracy with indentured workers and total control over people’s thoughts and actions.
Very happy to see this was added!!
Let me guess, his 'ubermensch' plans involve him impregnating young women gag
I'm part of that Jun/Jul bump, as I, along with many others fled the tyranny of Reddit during the aborted mod protests! One thing I'm starting to understand is that most (all?) Lemmy instances are self-funded and are supported by donations and not ad revenue. I think that users need to get into the mindset of supporting their home instance financially.
- Lodion posted the costs involved in running this instance here. Call it A$60/month (which will cover the 'at this point' yearly costs as well). If more people join this instance then the hardware and storage costs could increase significantly (from Lodion's post).

I thought choc ripple were only for smothering in whipped cream to make a choc ripple cake. Does anyone actually eat them as biscuits??
Lemmy (and Kbin) fills my Reddit browsing need completely now!
Like Gotye and Kimbra sang: Reddit is "someone that I used to know"! Browsing Lemmy, with some subscribed Kbin magazines, fills that need and I haven't thought about going and checking out Reddit at all. The one subreddit I still do miss is r/BORU - the (probably fake) stories with updates was great reading! Thanks Lemmy (and Kbin).
Problem trying to sign in to Memmy for Lemmy on iOS - Issue fixed
I've tried signing into Memmy using:
- Server: aussie.zone
- Username: @blendedracer (as shows on my profile page)
- Password: blah blah
And it throws an error, saying it "couldn't_find_that_user-name_or_email". Should I be formatting the server and/or username differently?
According to some economists, we need more unemployment in Australia to get inflation under control. Perhaps they would like to volunteer?
According to some economists, we need more unemployment in Australia to get inflation under control. But, Gareth Hutchens asks, do they know how jobseekers are treated?
