Biden says the next president may get to name two Supreme Court justices
  • Term limits for supreme court justices is one of those issues to drive people to the polls, its a pretty popular idea. Heaven forbid democratic candidates actually try to win with popular ideas. They cant allow any reasons to support them other than not being republican.

  • I guess lets give up and have a trump appointed supreme court for decades.

  • you are the political climate. If you folks would put half the effort you put into trying to convince people everything is hopeless into fighting for reform like the people of the past who successfully achieved reform

  • Weve got to implement term limits on justices now that people are starting to figure out lifetime appointments are easily gamed with younger justices.

  • Not Likeable
  • Try this when we are not so disastrously close to religious extremists seizing control.

Thats the trick to it, thats never not going to be the case.

  • Yeah reforms not gonna happen inside a democrat primary.

  • I dont see this changing anytime soon. 2024, trumps looking likely, US continues getting shittier. Maybe Biden wins, US continues getting shittier but slower. 2028, either trump running again, or trump jr, or desantis, another big threat of far right fascism leaving progressive voters feeling pressured once again to put pushing for reform on hold and holding their nose for a well connected "safe" centrist candidate.

  • I aint no hypocrite, william barr is supposed to be in prison for contempt of congress for ignoring a subpoena. If Garland was subpoena'd, he's subject to the same standards.

Executive privilege is not written in law. But congress's authority to subpoena, and hold violators in contempt, is.
