  • Makes sense to me. It's the same as setting up your own email servers, most individuals and even organizations probably don't need to worry about it but for those that do controlling their own data is essential.

  • Funny but this is probably a better format for government agencies, or any significantly large organization really. If I'm understanding how this works correctly they can host their own instances they 100% control instead of being at the whims of some random tech bros.

  • YSK: Your phone camera's aspect ratio is 4:3; setting it to anything else crops your photos
  • Interesting. I have a Samsung A3 and both 1:1 and 'Full' crop, 3:4 is the one that doesn't. Luckily I think 3:4 is the default on the camera because I don't remember changing it. The safest thing is probably to just look up your phones specs tbh.
