@[email protected] @[email protected] that's really nice. What I'm missing for native games is an indicator if they are suited e.g. for mobile devices or require a gamepad.
Do you have something like https://blogs.gnome.org/tbernard/2021/09/07/ready-for-software-41/#device-support ?
@Nixie also "here"? =)
@warmaster @[email protected] partially where noted. Still hacking away on some with a hot needle but I'll release all in the end.
I do give tours 👌

Fumbled around with the YT app (dead gods hate mobile phones) and… I managed to produce this short: https://www.youtube.com/shorts/BoJHZQpK2Iw
What do you think? 🤪
It's the first time I tried something like this 😁
@Mannivu @nparkinglot yeah, gratulations o7
@DmMacniel @[email protected] yeah, that's the plan :)
I like my v1 but there is not enough screen "estate" xD
@milan Reader Mode looks great too
@[email protected] @hypolite I'll take notes next time I use it but I _think_ I keep starring right aheady going with the motion and not contrary to it.
@WenAmon Also advocating for KeepassXC here. Plays nice with "synced" folders, like with NextCloud, too.
Even comes with ssh-agent which is perfect for persons like me 👌
Alas I'd never install it on my Android. That's my 2FA device. Not much sense in putting all in the same place - even if it offers integrated TOTP 🙃
The only exception may be the TOTP that Steam uses, that is one digit shorter and not supported by the usual (RFC 6238) ones.
@nyrath @diysimulators totally possible. Even pre assembled. Coda makes these 😁
@CommodoreSixtyFour_ oh btw I'm not sure if this works from Lemmy, not having an account so far, but at least on Mastodon you can read in via ActivityPub too.
Just copy the URL of an article into the search field of Mastodon if you feel like commenting on something.
@CommodoreSixtyFour_ thanks for the flowers :)
Also say hi to @jukibom 😁
Kerbal Controller
Kerbal Controller
The article "Kerbal Controller - the Basics" https://www.instructables.com/Kerbal-Controller-the-Basics/ introduced me to a small but awesome #SimPit community on Discord.
It's also of interest for people not into #KSP as it describes the basics for DIY controllers of any kind very well.
The control panel used for demonstration has another bonus going: It's completely modular and can be 3D printed at home.
Can recommend 👍

@diysimulators It features:
* DIY headtracker
* DIY button box with LCD display
* DIY status indicators
* Lots of plumbing with Node-Red
* Arduino Mega with a custom Rust daemon for driving the joystick and LEDs
* A custom written ReactJS "App" to drive the "MFDs"
* …and a Linux PC to power all the crazy 🤪
@diysimulators This is work in progress.
It's mobile and can be completely removed because my battlestation is, unlike most gaming rigs, also my workstation and has to move a lot. It's also frequently occupied by my kids who also love clicky buttons and compete with me for stick time :D
@CommodoreSixtyFour_ it does. At night :) There is also video btw.
@Kootta thanks for confirming! Glad it works at least for new posts if not for attachments but I'm already mind blown by this ❤️
Primary Buffer Panel
Primary Buffer Panel
Simpit made from cardboard on a budget mainly used to play Elite Dangerous, Star Citizen and plenty of other Space Pew Pew.
A glorified DIY joystick controller with an LCD ("MFDs") and plenty of RGB.

@smitty awesome! Seen only one DIY of these on YT so far 👌
@Ultrawipf Good to know. Probably one of the limitations that don't work right [yet].
Also thanks 🤓
Still mind blown already 🤯
Hi there
Hi there @diysimulators :)
Just noticed that there is a #simpit community starting out on discuss. This is right down my alley.
Mebbe I should reconsider and add a Lemmy account too 🤔
