Shy, introvert, anti-gambling sport lover who watches way too many tv shows & movies.
Strong advocate for "you do you" where it doesn't impose on others, and Wheaton's Law (aka don't be a dick).

Friday evening: Iโm going to have such a good sleep in tomorrow.
Saturday at my weekday alarm time: -wide awake-
Background play is bloody annoying if you don't use YT for music. I prefer videos to stop when I switch apps, then resume when I switch back. Now they keep playing.
And I'm starting to get recommendations of music that I can't remove or tell it I'm not interested in.
Every report on piracy I read points out that the biggest pirates are also the biggest spenders on โlegitimateโ media, streaming, cinema tickets. This will only increase purchase of such things by a rounding error. It wonโt be the money spinner theyโre hoping for. Itโll have a more significant effect on viral and organic hype.
I disagree. Weโve already elected our Donald Trump, and we did so before Donald Trump even became US President. Ours was called Tony Abbott. Good riddance.
Letโs make mooning tourist vehicles as normal and Australian as doing a shoey!
Twenty years after baring their bums for the first time, old-time mooners have been joined by many first-timers to welcome passengers of the iconic tourist train The Ghan as it approaches Darwin.
If only someone saw this coming and tried to warn us. Multiple times. For the last 70 years.
No matter which VPN provider I've used, they've all had periods where things were just slow. Eventually came good as the speeds were reported and their either upped their infrastructure or fixed the problem.
I've had plenty of occasions where the VPN connection slowed down over time, disconnecting and establishing a new connection put it back to the maximum speed too.
I haven't been with PIA for years, but it was one of many that I experienced both of these issues. I abandoned PIA when it got bought out by a company that made its money and start via spyware, adware, tracking people & selling PII and any other information they could slurp up. The antithesis of what a VPN company is supposedly all about.
If the women were drunk enough one of them threw up in the cab, this being the worst thing they said shows a metric fuck-tonne of restraint and composure on their part.
Seriously, if a police officer cannot handle THIS being said to them, then why the fuck are they in the police force? You cannot be this fragile and sensitive about things said to you while performing police duties.
This coming out has just turned the ENTIRE British Police service in to an absolute joke.
I gave up watching Australian FTA in the late 90โs or early 2000โs. Their treatment of the end-user and the abuser abusee relationship there just wasnโt worth it. So many good shows I just stopped watching because I was sick of their crap and streaming / torrents werenโt a thing yet.
And before anyone goes โyouโre not the customer youโre the productโ yada yada, I very specifically said โend-userโ earlier, not customer. I know. Youโre not telling me anything I havenโt already acknowledged.
The only thing Iโve watched on FTA since is live sport when thereโs no other options, or things via the catch-up apps (mostly ABC & SBSโs).
making a revised projection that we will have a Gold Master (GM) for 1.0 ready for submission to the App Store on July 1 which will go public whenever Apple decides to approve it.
As someone just starting to poke at Lemmy, I still consider this good news. :)
That's about the only thing I use cash for these days myself. Birthday money. The money I tend to receive sits in my wallet until it's time for someone else's birthday. Then it goes in their cards.
I should mark it or something to see if I then get it back next birthday. :P
