I can relate. I don't enjoy every Zelda game or every Final Fantasy game and will skip multiple in a row. The earlier Pokemon games also don't hold my attention very well. My interest was someone piqued by Gen 5 (good story) and I've really enjoyed gens 8 and 9.
I am very curious about what the next gen will bring. I'm eyeing that Persona 5 spin-off too, but it's a series I haven't actually played before, despite its popularity.

So, I love Scarlet and Violet as well, for different reasons. PLA was an excellent story. It felt very complete in terms of what it was. Meanwhile, I'm basically foaming at the mouth over the DLC for S/V. One feels like watching a really good movie and the other feels like watching a really great series, if that makes sense?
As for EO3. It's purely by happenstance. My husband was playing it and I decided to pick it up. :)
I'm on my billionth play through of Legends Arceus, but I may give Etrian Odyssey three a try!

How good are we talking? I love the sygna suit, but we're coming up fast on the Galar Villain Arc and I am trying to horde my gems.
