Spawns are table based and random between missions. Means that each mission has a set table of spawn types. For example, two of the most recognized tables for bugs are "this mission has tons of bile spewers" and "this mission has chargers and bile titans"
-
You are gonna get a higher chance of more elites spawning at higher difficulties. So 6 and up.
-
If all you are interested in doing is farming the kills, then find a mission where bile titans spawn, then carelessly aggro all patrols and allow as many bug breaches to spawn as possible in order to allow more opportunities for elites to spawn, then get your kills and leave mission, since you don't have to even complete the mission to get credit for the personal order
Drake meme:
Disapprove: Mitch Marner
Approve: Max Domi
Seems less like "protesting" and more like "fucking over other people in the game" to me, which sounds about right for the League of Legends player base.
Because it was a joke, Mr Pedantic Person.
I bet it will come with a free copy of Denuvo. Will be an incredible deal: 2 softwares for the price of 1 software. Can't beat that.
Before people get carried away with the weird narrative that Pilestedt was forced out in some sort of corporate coup, read the article. He stepped down by his own decision into his new role as Chief Creative Officer. He handpicked the new CEO. Also some relevant quotes from him:
“I’ve been thinking about the journey ahead for Arrowhead, the future games we’re going to be making, and running the organisation beyond the 120 or so developers we have currently,” he tells us. “I realised that running an organisation of over 100 people to however large it is going to get… it means I will [have to choose] between deepening my love for game creation, or the business track."
“Over the last year going to launch of Helldivers 2, I’ve been pulled more towards the business side of things, and not able to focus as much on the creative side. That made me realise I needed to make some decisions, both for the success of the business but also myself."
So he's focusing on the game rather than the business aspect.
Honestly I am OK with this. He's repeatedly demonstrated that he seems to be the only dude at AH who isn't a hostile asshole to players and more importantly he recently admitted that balance for the game has not been good. AH has spent the last few months squeezing out a lot of the players' goodwill from the game, but this gives me hope that maybe they can course correct from here on out.
Good post, good explanation, sorry you got downvoted by people who can't read
Caveat about Ender's Game and Orson Scott Card: dude is a fucko whackjob irl, just pirate it lol
AH fixing spawn rate
Twinbeard says:
Helldivers!
As many of you have noticed, something has been off with patrols and spawn rate for some time now. This primarily leads to more enemies rearing their ugly heads than they're supposed to, indirectly to players feeling overrun, kiting, and subsequently less fun gameplay. This has been the case for all players, but predominantly for smaller teams and solo playing. We've been aware, but frankly, the past couple of weeks have been so hectic that we haven't been able to give this the TLC that it required. We now have, and we've concluded that it's not working as intended and we're changing it. There might be some minor tweaks, but overall we're reverting back to how patrols and spawn rate worked before the patch that changed them a few weeks ago. We believe that this is more or less how you currently want them to be.
We also know you want us to do things and changes properly instead of rushing them, and we do as well. Therefore, implementing this will take some time. We want to give it proper testing and review it ... ah heck, simply see that it works this time. Even if this means we're faced with more bugs and bots than even the bravest of citizens would deem realistic for a while longer, we hope you're happy with us fixing the problem.
Onwards and upwards!
You really believe that someone would do that? Just go on the internet and tell lies?
League of Legends did this when they released new champions. New champ is overtuned for about a month, then it gets nerfed back down to baseline. Who knows how much money they got when people bought RP to get the sexy new champ and all their skins.
"Just tweaking balance numbers is a blunt tool."
Replying to a player on Twitter who said recent patches have made the game "unplayable," Arrowhead CEO Johan Pilestedt conceded that he's not satisfied with his studio's current balancing approach.
"Hey, yeah I think we've gone too far in some areas. Will talk to the team about the approach to balance," he wrote. "It feels like every time someone finds something fun, the fun is removed."
I'm making an announcement to everyone:
I'm canceling my plans for today, codenamed Kestrel. You will never know what they were.
Looks like you gotta eat your sneakers. Please do it. For democracy.
An internet classic
I can see it. Arrowhead just wants to keep shoving themselves up our asses.
I hear this guy is pretty good at getting fucked
I bought this game in early access like 10 YEARS AGO lol. Feels like it has been in my library forever now.
Not to rain on Rimworld's parade, but where is the next Rimworld successor? We had Dwarf Fortress > Rimworld > ???
There is an entire generation growing up that only understands "Discord" as "chat app" instead of as the vocab word.
So I'm a dirty pirate and I always thought that at the end of the episode during the "letters to home" gag, I just had a bad copy of S1 and S2 and they were unintentionally cut short. But even in this episode, the letter was cut off... so I guess that's the way they are supposed to be?
They HAD a cool PVE mode that they put a ton of effort in to creating. They released a bunch of fun minigames as a promotion for all their Star Guardian stuff. Then after a few weeks, it went away and never came back.
