Trump Promotes Threatening Video: 'We Are Going to Do Things to You That Have Never Been Done Before'
  • Mrrrm, I think we've all felt this or similar sentiments about many categories of convict, and especially those guilty of violent crimes, but I don't have enough faith in the system to back the idea of a label in perpetuity by default. We can look into each other's backgrounds if we're so inclined, but otherwise I'd prefer for convicted offenders who have served their sentence to feel they can be contributors to society, and not to remain mired in the anti-social, dangerous paradigm from whence their bad behaviour emerged. These aren't people who set out with a sense of boundaries or harm or why it is bad to rape. If we can't stop them before the fact, we have a duty to encourage them to learn these things after the fact.

  • What's your go-to comfort food?
  • Your favourite sometimes nudges my main one out of the picture! Adore the texture and flavour and scent of udon. Usually have mine with soy sauce and grated vegetable ribbons, sometimes a dash of sesame seed oil, sometimes an egg poached in the heat of the noodles.

  • What's your go-to comfort food?
  • What is this concept, enough?

Mine is four slices of wheaten bread, toasted quite deeply, with butter & usually with a lot of crushed hot chili peppers on top. Though I eat everything, adore most dishes, and am a decent cook, I have to make a conscious effort to get other foods into my regular rotation. Lot of that comes down to forgetting to eat until am shaking with hunger, but still.

Looking forward to rustling up a batch of your bacon'd water chestnuts.

  • My partner posted some of my art earlier. You guys seem to like it so here's another one
  • Ah you are so good.

Managed to find your gallery's site in the meantime, though this just means there is so much more to fall for! Gah.

Will be in touch with them or with you shortly. If directly with you then it'll be through this place as I don't have access to Instagram.

  • So happy you've decided to show us more of your work. This one is also very beautiful. It takes incredible skill to indicate form & negative space with such economy, and especially I love how the lines have an abstract beauty in themselves.

Do you sell your pieces anywhere?

  • Redditors, how do you like Lemmy?
  • Have been using a Firefox extension called Stylebot to modify how my browser displays Lemmy's CSS elements to me. Bit fiddly and clumsy, but working well enough, and the first few changes were a major improvement.

Seem to recall spending as long if not longer tweaking with the appearance of old.reddit.com via RES to get it to my liking.

  • Where to report Beehaw bugs?

Keep encountering a minor bug on Firefox, but unsure where to report it.

    Cheers.

  • Struggling a lot with this lately.

Had been using DDG for years without any problems, but it became unusably bad for me a while ago. Tried Qwant and Startpage, which were an improvement, though not great, then began to struggle with them also.

Briefly had a good time with some Searx instances, but must be doing something badly wrong (or am developing early onset dementia, hahaha) as can no longer get it to work well either.

In short, I can get up Wikipedia entries & usually major websites providing I use a single search term, but can seldom get more complex searches to work no matter what operands I use.

Hoping to find something that suits, as it is quite frustrating.

  • Can you code? We need your help to improve lemmy
  • Hrm,

I didn't sign up with an email, but was able to login shortly after applying (less than 30 mins, I think?).

From my end it seems as if I am able to subscribe to communities and reply & upvote, and was also able to login via mlem, but now wondering whether I'm really here at all...

If any passing Beehawers are able to read this and feel like letting me know, I'd be so grateful.

  • For everyone new to Lemmy, how are you finding the experience?
  • Enjoyable so far. Feel a bit mystified, but it always takes me ages to figure out how to use new things.

Currently messing around with a browser extension to change the appearance and layout, as I had been finding that a bit of a hurdle.
