  • Thank you for this awesome information! I agree with the statement about sharing the power and that information should be free (as in speech) for all. Let's make internet a better place!

  • Lemmy v0.18.0 Released! (and some thoughts before upgrading)
  • 2FA is something I've been missing honestly, but I can wait until v0.18.1 for more stability. Thanks for the change log and the developers of Lemmy for this awesome update.

  • oh thank god i found you guys
  • Glad to have found this community back. Lemmy feels like home now!

  • Even without VR system, it's a really good indie game with very good support on Linux

  • What are you favorite Movies or TV Shows you've pirated recently?

  • If we go back to Reddit, they win
  • Yes, right now trying to make the doc. Will take a while though... but it will be worth it to upload it here. Can't wait to be ready to delete Reddit out of my life.

  • What can be done with old computers that are very low end?
  • Good suggestions. Linux can do wonders on very low end hardware. Make sure to pick a good distro that has a good package manager with all of the software that you need. I recommend to look into Arch based distros if you feel like tinkering a bit. Debian and Fedora based distros would also do the trick, but the AUR from arch linux will cover all the software you'll need (use yay package manager for AUR support).

    Good luck and happy tinkering!

  • If we go back to Reddit, they win
  • Thanks for letting me know of this. It is even cross-platform... Works pretty much on everything. For the ones who are interested, here's a link: https://redact.dev

  • If we go back to Reddit, they win
  • I am actually done with Reddit at this moment. This blackout showed me what Reddit is without the communities and the people. It felt really empty and unusable and it won't get any better. CEO of Reddit is a certified idiot. Right now trying to figure out how to delete my posts/comments and stuff (with a script) before deleting my Reddit account.

  • What game did you purchase because of the aesthetics but barely or never played?
  • Do they still have profanity checks when naming the horses?

  • Elon Musk Says Twitter Is Going To Get Rid Of The Block Feature, Enabling Greater Harassment
  • Isn't it possible to sort comments on Twitter? I don't use Twitter myself. Long story short: made an account back in 2017-2018, tried it out and i didn't like it, so I deleted the account. Right now it seems I made a good choice lol.

  • If we go back to Reddit, they win
  • I feel the same. Can't believe those piracy communities survived this long on that platform...

  • Password crackdown is working: Netflix signups crossed the 100k daily mark for the first time in the US
  • I don't get it why people still pay for such a service. This decision was the last drop for me to stop using them. Sad to see what modern internet has become...

  • Soap2day has closed down
  • I used it the past weeks and now it's gone :( RIP Soap2day
