And so is it accurate to say kbin is its own protocol which can be used to aggregate and interact with mastodon and lemmy posts?
And here I’ve been using an elipsis like a fool
Someone is working on an Apollo-like iOS app for Lemmy called Artemis (and it looks great)
Let’s not underestimate the hubris of stupid rich people
Is this a UI issue or a fundamental flaw of the Fediverse? In other words, is this only confusing because of how the UI and thread display logic respond to the data they’re getting? Is this just an issue of how the comments thread is ordered, and the fact that it isn’t what the user would expect? (I only ask because I’m curious and want to know how this place works)
I like this comment but I don’t know what im supposed to do about it
That’s exactly what I’m trying to do for all the communities I want. I’m starting them, making some placeholder rules, letting them attract a community, then I’m going to have the community vote on permanent rules, and then, once all of that is in place to keep the community stable, recruit mods to take over. At that point, it’ll be clear which users would make good mods (I hope)
I’ve always wanted to do an active mod team that comments in real time, but it would take a few more people (although some AI auto mods could potentially be fact checkers… but that’s a whole other project. But, I think, a project worth considering after we do the basics.)
Welcome to US Politics! Please help us write our rules.
Like any good online community, we need a clear content policy and rules for how we intend to enforce it. I’ve started us off with a few placeholders, but I’d prefer that the community weigh in.
What types of posts do you want to see in this community? What types of posts do you NOT want to see in this community? How harsh a moderation policy do you want to see, both for posts and comments?
Those are just some starter questions. Let me know what you think. Offer your suggestions for the community’s rules.
Their new argument that they have the authority through a different law seems more ironclad to me.
As if, and this is total speculation on my part, spending their time on the obviously-gonna-fail one was a way of stalling to make the real forgiveness happen right before re-election
