Oak Bowl w/ Reishi mushroom
Part of a larger project I’m working on, which takes the “waste sawdust” and grows a Reishi mushroom out of it.
Much easier to find a new piece of steel to use.
Like someone said above- the amount of heat required to fill those holes will most definitely warp your steel.
You could grind down any burr on the holes and let it be with the holes. Not sure if that would still suffice for your requirements though.
I’ll just leave this hear…
There is a a space where the glass meets the bottom plate to allow air exchange

PP5 Plastic to Glass Petri’s
Recently switched from screw top PP5 plastic agar plates to 90mm glass petris.
PP5 plates were used for “No-Pour” agar method.
Now using a sous vide set at 55C to store media bottle filled with agar before pouring into glass plates
100% when I have them in the case they very much give off a alien vibe.
Takes about 5 months to grow to that point. They will grow towards a light source so one can get them to do all sorts of interesting shapes, patterns ect. Thus the Bonsai part of it.
