This is what I did too! In my case, it was partly because my monitor (Samsung Odyssey G8) had issues with flickering when games had high frame rates (e.g. 2D games and game menus) without the fps cap.
Ah that’s too bad. Either way, I wonder if Lies of P will be changed at all from the Steam demo; I remember the developers mentioned making the dodge smoother before release.
Is this only on Xbox or also on PC?
Does requiring games ship with only FSR and not DLSS or XeSS not qualify?
New mageseeker card looks pretty strong
This card looks like it could be a lot more impactful than the other "anti-magic" tools Demacia currently has. Thoughts?
Ooh, that should be really interesting. Her "thing" is being able to transform into other champions, correct? That sounds like it would be really cool mechanic to have in LoR.
Leaked promo art for the next expansion!
I haven't played League in a while... anyone know what champions these are supposed to be?
Heimer might actually be one of the few champs I haven’t played! I’ve gravitated more towards Lux / Jayce :P what can I say, I’m a big fan of BIG LASERS
Top Tier Deck in Standard: 52% win rate, in Eternal: 60.5%
I was skeptical of standard at first, but stats like this make me glad it exists.
My mechanical keyboard experience is fairly surface level so I don't think I'd go custom yet :) That's great to hear, though! I was thinking they were fairly expensive, but I guess that's the price you pay for high-quality optical switches.
It's definitely simpler! And I think it's also easier to have success with home-brewed decks, whereas in eternal it feels like you need to play with a hyper-optimized deck especially in higher ranks.
Yeah it looks promising! I hope the difficulty / combat will scale well from 2-33 people... I can't imagine playing this game with more than 2-3 people on a regular basis.
I think it was! See Christian’s website for example. I think it’s easy to forget since it’s a one-time payment and fairly cheap.
I think that would be great! I’m sure it’s more difficult than it seems, though, to port over the entire backend to Lemmy, especially with its decentralized nature. Also I’m sure Christian is a bit burnt out after the Reddit fiasco, so I can’t fault him for taking a breather.
I think almost certainly there’ll be a patch around that time with balance changes! I agree, especially with Karma, coins feel a bit unbalanced.
I think you're totally right! That's partially why I said it's a bigger problem on Lemmy. Tools like browse.feddit.de will be pretty important; it'd be great if they were placed prominently somewhere.

New expansion in a couple weeks! Any archetypes you hope will be buffed / changed? Personally, I hope darkness gets some new cards.
It looks really great! Minor point, but I was mildly amused by Basim's complete lack of expression as he's executing the last assassination: https://youtu.be/gcLe3Rkqo_0?t=394
Agreed! There are a lot of features currently missing, but I have high hopes.
Yeah the ground-to-space sequence was great. I wonder if that extended ~15 second duration where the ship is completely surrounded by fog is essentially hiding the game loading. If so, it's very nicely done.
Large bags of salted roasted cashews! Much better value than at Trader Joe's.
Although this issue might be more severe for Lemmy, I think it still occurs on Reddit, but it ends up working itself out. For instance, there's also a "r/tech" and (at some point) there was a "r/technologynews" subreddit, which you could view as redundant and possibly confusing to new users. But r/tech seems to have focused on longer-form more in-depth discussion while r/technology is certainly the larger and more general of the two, so most users will probably just sub to the larger one and maybe others will decide they like the vibe of r/tech more. In the long term, I'm sure a similar thing will happen to communities with the same, or close to the same, name.
Eternal or Standard?
What have people been playing more of recently, eternal or standard format?
In my experience, eternal hasn't felt as broken as I thought it might be... Karma Sett in standard set some high bars for degeneracy :P
Somerville Community Path is open!
The community path is now open!. Beyond commuting to and from the green line extension, it looks like this could be nice for recreation, as an extension of the Minuteman.
Anyone here bike as their main form of commute?
Thoughts on Wooting?
The Wooting 60HE is an analog mechanical keyboard with <1ms input response. The magnetic Lekker switches are adjustable up to 0.1mm for finger brushing sensitivity.
Anyone have any thoughts / experience with the Wooting optical switch keyboards? I like the idea of having an optical WASD. When playing games on a keyboard, motion being a binary toggle is more jarring than when using a joystick.
I was worried about compatibility, but it seems like the Wooting can emulate a controller so it just requires the game to support simultaneous keyboard / joystick input.
Anyone try out the Lies of P Demo?
I recently beat the first boss and am having a good time so far. I find the dodge a bit clunky, but it seems like the game is trying to push you more towards blocking (and perfect blocking).
Overall, I love the fact that a demo for this game exists and that it feels quite polished!
Sumner Tunnel Closures, guess I'll get to try out the ferry!
Never had the chance before, but seems like now's my opportunity...

Apollo has been one of my most used apps the past couple years... it'll be sad saying goodbye.
What decks are you playing recently?
I've been really having decent success with Aphelios/Viktor Glorious Evolution. Super fun deck, feels like you have good answers to most decks and the Glorious Evolution payoff is really satisfying.
