"Rabbidly pro-union" and "as left as they come", no doubt lol.
Doubt Leavenworth is large enough to hold 'em all.
Copious amounts.
Played a whole lot of Wingspan this past week. Taught it to two different groups. First was my copy with all the expansions minus Asia. Second was a friend's base edition. It remains a game I don't love, but don't mind playing. Also, played the first Epic Spell Wars of the Battle Wizards game, which was pretty cool. Learned how to play Pollen, so looking forward to playing that soon. Most fun and interesting game I played was a solo one, surprisingly, called Resist! about fighting back against the Franco regime during the Spanish Civil War. Thematically, something I'm very interested in anyway, but the gameplay is tough and enjoyable.
Heat, Cat in the Box, and boop are my favorites I've played from this list. I didn't care for Endless Winter at all. Flamecraft was fine, but would only play it if someone really wanted to.
Unfortunately, the rich and powerful have never been held to the same standards as the rest of the populace. Not specific to this shithole country, but it's nothing new. Don't get hung up on the "rule of law" being dead; it's always been applied differently to different groups.
Had the same thought.
Killer Klowns from Outer Space
I love YINSH. Such a cool project.
My Thursday group played a 3-player Victory Point game of Dark Venture: Battle of the Ancients. Got together on Saturday with two of us and played more! This time we played Scenarios 1-3 of the main Campaign. I'm obsessed.
I think I made it to book 6 and just stopped. I was utterly bored by that point.
After finishing Cloud Cuckoo Land by Anthony Doerr, I started his collection of short stories, The Shell Collector. For non-fiction, finished The Spanish Civil War: A Very Short Introduction by Helen Graham and began Blackshirts and Reds by Michael Parenti.
I really like boop. I'm partial to abstracts anyway and this one's theme makes it approachable to people who wouldn't play it otherwise. It's so quick to play, too.
I've wanted to try Mushroom Eaters for years. Looks wild. Odd question, but do you enjoy it or rather experience it?
Yeah, you decide beforehand. There are different map setups based on which type of game you'll be playing.
If you want to try it, order quick. Think they're just about out of copies (expansions already gone).
Played a few good ones this past week.
- Beast - 4 Players. This was our first time playing. I played as a beast (Hogbad) and was slain by the hunters on the 3rd Day. Would definitely play again.
- Dark Venture: Battle of the Ancients - Solo. Very excited to play this a ton more. Plays solo, co-op, and competitive. I did the first scenario in the solo campaign a few times to get some of the basic concepts, and because the Auto-Enemy Bohmerk kept killing my Varpen warriors.
- Wingspan - 2 Players. Always a relaxing, enjoyable experience. I won this time, which is rare.
I joined when it was rebranded the ImagiNation Network (INN). Played Red Baron and Shadow of Yserbius. Ahh memories.
EPL: Newcastle United
MLS: Atlanta United
Sealed it with the CL performance. Vamos!
Custom Sidebar?
Hola mods,
Would it be possible for the sidebar to be customized to contain upcoming races, point standings, etc.? Or does that require things for Lemmy which aren't in place yet?
Thanks!
