  • They do their best to get your money. They monitor your past behavior to know what you're likely to listen to in the future. For example, if you eat basic burger/fry foods, they'll send you more ads for those types of places, but if you tend towards Mediterranean, then they will send you those places instead. As another example, dog food ads aren't worth sending to people who don't have dogs.

What I worry about is Alexa and the other voice boxes. Every time we talk about getting food around it, I open my phone and have ads for the places we were talking about. That's literally creeping on someone.

  • I don't know about other people, but I want even aware that they labeled them differently until a few years back. We I'm in EST and we still just call it that in conversion, whether it's savings time or not (savings runs here is EDT).

  • Intro post, let's get this party started

First I wanted to say thanks for creating this community. I stopped visiting the "other site" just before the blackouts as my part in the protest, and I don't expect to return. It's great to know that someone has already started the TFT group, and I hope to see some good discussion here soon.

As for my TFT impressions, I'm loving the new set, even though I'm not doing too great yet (mostly due to not putting any time into it). I find that I don't have much time any more for my gaming obsession, so I try when I can and still enjoy taking 4th or 5th. Setting up Shen as Bastion/Juggernaut was fun, I can't wait to try to find more mitigation combos.

  • I'm not so sure about that. I'm no lawyer, but I do know that there's a lot of legal precedent for allowing people/things to operate a certain way, like land use. However, technology is still new to the legal system that's set in the 1800s.
