Hair Mask Discontinued?

Does anyone know if the shea butter and coconut oil hair mask has been discontinued? It's still on their website but I haven't been able to find it for weeks in the store. I would be so sad if they stopped making it, it's the best stuff I've ever used on my hair!

Is there a way to remove threads that you've already read?

After I've been browsing for a while, I would like to be able to remove threads that I've already viewed from my feed because when Jerboa auto updates, it always sends me toward the top of my feed and then I have to scroll through a whole bunch of stuff again that I've already seen.

What are YOUR niche hobbies?
  • Urban exploring (for lack of a better term) with no purpose other than to discover. I live in a city and I'm constantly just wandering around going down streets I've never been down or into alleys I've never been in or checking out stores I've never been to. This is my approach when I travel to other cities and other countries too, I often don't have a plan for my trip/vacation, I just arrive there and then start to wander and see what I find.

  • how to open links to communities in app
  • I haven't figured this out either, there might not be a way to do it at all within the app. Hopefully that will come in a new update because it's really annoying when I see a link for a community I want to subscribe to and I just want to stay in the app!

  • How do you obtain your music?
  • I thought I was the only person that almost exclusively listened to the radio! I live in an area with a good variety of stations so that helps, I realize some people have very little options when they turn on the radio. I occasionally put on Pandora when I want to listen to a specific obscure genre or YouTube when I'm looking up a specific artist.

  • A Guide to Cormac McCarthy’s Books
  • I read The Road and it just didn't click with me, I finished it feeling like it was just "ok." I think part of the problem was how much it had been hyped up by other readers and how famous it was and I went into it expecting to be changed when I came out, though I wasn't. I'll give McCarthy another try though, I have both No County for Old Men and Blood Meridian sitting on my bookshelf and I'll get to them eventually.

  • What's your favorite format for books?
  • When I'm at home I prefer physical books, they simply make me happy. Also, buying them on my Kindle is really not much cheaper than buying the actual book, especially when I have a huge and amazing used bookstore a couple blocks away from my house where I can get them for the cheapest!

When I'm traveling, I prefer my Kindle because it's light and takes up very little space in my suitcase. Also, I can have multiple books on me during a trip which is great because sometimes I like to read multiple books at the same time and I'll pick up whichever one I'm in the mood for. When I'm traveling, I'm certainly not going to bring two or three different physical books with me. One other area that the e-reader is superior in has to do with all the wonderful classics that are public domain and free!

I've tried audio books two or three times but I just can't get into them. I don't feel the same level of engagement when I'm listening that I do when I'm reading and I don't feel that I experience them the same way, so I just don't bother with audio books anymore.

  • Could you help me with a bit of life advice? Ending uni, scared of going forward.
  • It's perfectly natural to be scared of change but it is fruitless because change is going to happen whether you want it to or not. Even if you stay here, things are going to change. Remember that and use it to help you get past your fear of change.

You're also focusing on the negatives, what about the positives? What if this internship turns out to be the best thing you've ever done? What if it does lead you to wanting to stay there which then leads you to an amazing life that you love and makes you happy? Even if you stay here, you and your partner might not stay together and how would you feel if you gave up this opportunity and you guys break up 6 months down the road and you're full of regret for not taking the internship?

If I were you I would 100% take the internship abroad, that's an opportunity that the majority of people don't get. Take it!

  • Progress, not perfection (or, why I'll consider it a win if I'm still tracking calories at the end of this month)
  • This is absolutely the best way to approach it, consistency is what wins the battle. You have an event or a meal that you can't track? Afterwards just stay the course and keep going. You did track it and it was waaaaay over your calorie budget? Afterwards just stay the course and keep going. You can be successful by just staying on track for more time than you're off it and that's actually very forgiving, it gives a lot of leeway.

  • What is your favourite summertime food?
  • Generally any produce I can get at the local farmers market; it's just so, so much better than anything in the grocery store.

Some specific foods that just scream "summer" to me are tomato sandwiches, watermelon, and grilled corn.

  • Reddit CEO: We're Sticking With API Changes, Despite Subreddits Going Dark
  • Give us "normies" a little credit. I'm not technical minded AT ALL and I'm still willing to stick around and figure out how this shit works. Do I understand it? Hardly. Does the app I'm using (Jerboa) work? Barely. (Although today's new release has improved it greatly, thanks guys!). But I'm still floundering around here and it's a bit frustrating. I'm still going to give it a go though. I'm confident that improvements will come that make it easier here for everyone like me that uses the internet a lot but doesn't really understand the internet that much.

But maybe I'm just willing to stick it out because I was only looking for an excuse to leave Reddit and the means to do so. I admit I don't really care about the recent debacle, I just miss the old Reddit of 10-15 years ago and I don't like what it's become (a place full of memes, TikTok videos, dumb jokes, and hardly any real conversation anymore). It took this most recent fiasco for people to start talking about alternatives and that's when I finally learned about the fediverse and made the move. It has been a lot easier to leave when I knew where I could go.

  • To me the simple life is not as much about consumerism (how much I have/buy vs how much I don't have/buy), it's more about a state of mind; I strive to keep my life uncomplicated in order to lead a more peaceful and contented life. That means shutting down drama and toxicity in my personal life, maintaining order in my professional life, and being grateful/thankful for life's little pleasures like being outside in nature, cooking myself a delicious meal, playing my favorite song on the piano, or watching my plants grow and thrive.
