How much power does your home lab take?
  • Im also running a pi4 with docker containers but also my nextcloud instance. Been feeling it's a bit sluggish at times so I recently ordered a cheap optiplex micro, and some upgrades for the ram, ssd and cpu. The pi4 will only be used for pi-hole now.

  • I'm all for using Debian and such, and I think out of all the new and hip things people brag about, using Flatpak is the most useful thing for the average user experience and worth checking out. Everything (almost) else is just extra.

  • Possibly, 4a was just cheaper and easier to get where I live.

  • I easily get a full day of use with at least ~3-5h of screen time, and 90%+ health ln the battery. Imo, the only thing it is lacking is a 90/120hz screen, else it's fine.
