Does anybody else forget to not work?
  • I enjoy it to an extent. But 9 hours is a bit scary to think about. It’s easier for me at work because I love what I do. My work and hobbies overlap a lot so it’s very easy to get sucked in

Does anybody else forget to not work?

I’m not talking about necessarily an actual job, because I do it with hobbies to. But if I get focused on something, I need an outside source to bring me back. Yesterday at the end of my shift I found a bug in some code and it bugged me until this morning to work on it. I got to work right at 8:00 and after fixing it kept working. Next thing I know it’s 5:00 and my boss is messaging me asking if I’m still in and if I need help getting out for the weekend. I didn’t even take a lunch today. I wasn’t even hungry, thirsty, or even needing to use the restroom until I got that message. I just started working and got sucked in and forgot about basic necessities.

Does anyone else get this way?

  • Honestly, I loved TotK. But it made me dislike BotW. I love BotW when it released, but TotK made it feel incomplete. So many people were worried about Totk being glorified DLC but what it ended up making was BotW into the early release beta.

But I do enjoy older games as well. I remember playing a link to the past growing up and getting lost in the puzzles. We actually broke the game in one of the dungeons by using a key on the wrong door and soft locking the game in an unbeatable state. Had to start everything over lol. That was the age when some of these games were actually difficult though. Playing oracle of ages on switch and I am flying through it. With about 30 minutes of play time I got the first dungeon completed pretty easily. I think Zelda has evolved quite a few times and each generation of players has their “golden years”

  • I can see why a lot of people say that. It really does start to break apart under a not-so-fine microscope. I was kind of hoping there was something I was missing that would explain why it didn’t make sense but maybe not…

  • Pittsburgh synagogue shooting trial reaches closing arguments on potential death penalty | CNN
  • I have no pity for this man and he should die. However, I don’t believe the government should have the power to execute its citizens. This case may be as black and white as they come, but this gives the government the ability to make the argument in some fairly gray cases. He shouldn’t be sentenced to death. Life in prison with no chance of ever being released, sure. But never should the government be allowed to kill its own people for any reason.

  • The ringleader, the guy who planned the whole thing, who planned to overthrow the government and assassinate members of congress. He got 18 years in prison. If you think that’s egregious then there’s something wrong with you. Frankly that’s not long enough. People died that day. They wanted to kill others. And you think that most people getting a couple months is too much?

  • Seven major automakers to build EV charging network with 30,000 chargers
  • Sooo what, another 20k for California and everyone else splits the rest? Sorry, but it’s so difficult to get excited for this when I see these plans push more to California, but on the east coast I have a single fast charger within 30 miles (proof. No filters on PlugShare except limiting it to CCS. Since I don’t own a Tesla NACS is hidden. https://imgur.com/a/TUbTMh0)

They’ll cram them in every corner of every city, but the people who are worried about range are the ones outside of the city, not on major highways or anything. Btw, one of those doesn’t count since it’s a dealership and is for Nissan owners only.

Edit: Not sure why this keeps posting to your comment specifically. I’m replying to the main post, but it’s only posting as a reply to you. Weird

  • This just crawled out of my sink
  • It wasn’t shiny like that article claims it to be, though that may be because it climbed out of a sink drain. Who knows what was on it. However it does look very close.

This made me look up osmoderma in Pennsylvania which linked me this:

This looks exactly like it, and is what you linked. So I think your spot on since it doesn’t seem to need to be iridescent. Thanks for answering! (Sorry for the late reply. I stepped out for a bit like 20 minutes after I posted this)

The tiniest, and most annoying tomato I've ever grown - the Spoon Tomato
  • Would this make a good tomato sauce? You mentioned them not keeping well due to splitting at the top, but if they were to be smashed/blended/strained quickly and are producing hundreds per day then you should be able to make a good sauce over a season right?
