Mormon Satanist. Transracial Socialist Workers Party Kopimist Monk. Debt-free. Alcohol-free. Drug-free. Caffeine-free. Woke-free. "Dems/Repubs offer only crumbs to workers while propping up systems that oppress us. True liberation comes only when we break free and ignite the fire of revolution."
I don't know what that means.
Why are you even worrying about elections other than the one in front of us?
Because every election since as long as I have been voting, people say variations of "Well voting third party is fine, but not THIS election. THIS election is too important!"
Which is what the OP I was replying to said.
I've been voting since 1988. And i have heard this every election. So guess what? I've decided that this election isn't any more or less important than any election. And I'm proudly voting third party. :)
It’s just what it is.
Former Democrat Tulsi Gabbard told Fox News Digital on Monday that she would "be honored to serve" in the Trump administration focusing on foreign policy and national security.

If the ruling stands, Georgia’s ballot will be down to four valid presidential candidates: Kamala Harris, Donald Trump, Chase Oliver and Jill Stein.
By invoking "remigration," the GOP candidate implied the mass deportation of more than just immigrants.

JD Vance Just Decried Political Violence. But He Endorsed a Book Celebrating It.
The book champions the violent regimes of right-wing dictators like Francisco Franco, while defining people on the left as "unhuman."
While 4 presidents have been killed, many others have been victims of plots to end their lives − sometimes because of political anger, but many other times for incomprehensible reasons.
In yet another reversal, votes in Georgia for presidential candidates Cornel West and Claudia De la Cruz will count for now.
The career mechanic talked to Semafor about his “working class” run against Sen. Deb Fischer.
News orgs keep writing it and adding new info. So...
no dude, the stakes are high and nobody wants Trump to win. it is a tense situation.
Are you so scared that Trump may win, that you actually want to limit people's choices and don't want them to have their own opinions and choices?! Guess which side of the political aisle that sounds like? Hint: the guy you are so afraid of is running for prez on that side...
Think about what you are saying. Do you not see how slippery that slope is?! You want to limit what people see because of your fear of who may get elected. A huge freedom taken away.
Are you suggesting that news articles that don’t represent the majority opinion in this community shouldn’t be shared or viewed at all? Do you think certain news should be hidden from the public?
It sounds like you’re advocating for limiting choices and restricting access to information. I’d really appreciate some clarification because, to me, it sounds like you’re endorsing censorship and would rather this space be an echo chamber.
I’d have to say citation needed
Well the democrats are trying mighty hard to keep Claudia De la Cruz and Jill Stein off the ballots.
Also, I LOVED Bernie Sanders, and I personally think the Democrats did him dirty because they wanted Hilary on the ticket. And look how that turned out.
Wow, so you really are advocating for limiting choices and restricting access to information. You’re endorsing censorship and would rather this space be an echo chamber.
Glad the mods here don't agree with you!
What do you mean?
So by posting an article, that I didn't write, from a news org I have no association with, I'm "pushing" the article?
Are all the pro-Democrat or pro-Harris articles here also being posted by people who are "pushing" an agenda?

But I didn't write it. And if it's so obvious that it's a "misleading fluff piece" then it wouldn't sway anyone.
And actually since the news org wrote it, are you saying that the news org is writing fluff pieces for a third party? Are you going to contact the reporters and the editorial team to let your thoughts be known?
I just post the news, I don't write it, friend.
So does that mean you think these third party news articles posted to Lemmy are actually swaying Lemmy voters?! Come on, now... lol
Do you honestly think that by people posting a third party article, that lots of Lemmy voters are gonna suddenly drop their Harris support and go pro-third party?!
Is that the big mission you are on? To put a stop to that? Seriously?
So if you DO believe that, then are you saying that people should NOT vote third party news? That people SHOULDN'T have access to other news or other opinions?
You just posted it. 🤷♂️
Fair point!
Good, since I didn't do anything wrong in the first place. :)
It’s a throwaway vote whether you want to admit it or not.
Not to me. I feel that voting based on principle isn’t “throwing away” a vote; it’s exercising the right to stand for policies and candidates that truly reflect my personal values.
I support and respect your right to your opinion. I just don't agree with it.
I don't know who that is or what you mean.
I disagree with what you are saying. But hey, you have a right to that opinion. I, and many others, don't share that opinion though.
I'm proudly voting third party. I have the bumper stickers and everything. Let's f'n go!!!
And you don't think they are intelligent enough to know all of this. Are you saying that you don't think they are as smart as you when it comes to nuances of elections and voting?
I just wanna clarify, because I'm reading a lot of "Well I'm smart enough to know, but they aren't..." vibes into what you are writing. So I want to clarify.
If more people consistently voted for what they believed in instead of out of fear, the political landscape would begin to shift. Dismissing those votes as useless only perpetuates the problem of limited choice, and change is never achieved by sticking to the status quo.
Dude you called Muslim Americans "idiots," is that really the way to make your point? Come on, man...
For any candidate. I also laugh at any group being called informed
I can respect that view. Fair points!
So a way to do all the things you aren’t doing?
I don't know what you mean.
If this is a way to parody lib civility nonsense then you are doing a bang up job.
I don't know what you mean by this either. Are you saying we shouldn't be civil and that namecalling should be allowed?!
Due largely to a single user; You.
Wow, I'm flattered that you feel I have so much influence!
There you go being transparently dishonest again.
How so?
