Guards! Guards! by Terry Pratchett. It's my first time reading his work and I am absolutely loving his sense of humor.

I have actually played all of these, except for modded Skyrim. I might have to look into making it like DD. But I really enjoy it's gameplay on top of it being pretty light on story until you decide to go in, I enjoy just being plopped into a fantasy world and being able to just go and do stuff without worrying about the story unless I want to.
