Liftoff is pretty nice, but try wefwef web app, it replaced all the other Android apps for me.

I totally agree. I'm on Android and never used Apollo, but I'm using the wefwef web app and it's fantastic. People are saying it feels like Apollo!
I'm petty sure (and hope) that Reddit will slowly die. If a % of the users creating content that are not bots move to Lemmy or kbin, it's game over for them eventually.
The only thing that's quite sad is the amount of information you can find for an insane amount of problems. I hope that everything will get archived somehow.

Most of them are! Jerboa, Liftoff, Connect and, the best of the bunch, wefwef.
I encourage you to try wefwef and install it as an all, it's truely amazing!
I'll be honest, I settled on using Jerboa after trying all other Android apps, I sincerely thought wefwef was iOS only. Oh boy was I wrong, it's hands down the best app of the bunch, and by really really far. I opened an issue today for compact mode and here it is, already!

Yes I do, screw ads. I use uBlock Origin on all my browsers and I run a home server with Adguard Home in it (I prefer Adguard Home instead of Pi-Hole, the former is super easy to update and it only runs on 1 service).
I often connect to my home server from my cellphone with Wireguard or OpenVPN to go through Adguard Home when I'm away.
