My first rodeo was in Grand lakes Colorado. I had just eaten a pot Brownie. 30-40mins in, at about the same time I was coming to the realization that I was indeed quite high, the rodeo clown appeared and started walking around the stands. I have never avoided eye contact with someone so hard in my life.
But now I can unironically say, "this isn't my first rodeo", and I find that amusing, so that's nice.

The army was experimenting with bringing the weight down. The one in the picture is stamped sheet metal, but they also experimented with stamped aluminum. Only 30 were ever made. I don't think they ever planned to produce them in mass. Its a proof of concept.
Highly recommend the Springfield armory museum. Theres a whole section of experimental designs. Some really cool stuff.

We put slots on the thumbscrews used on some of our connectors for military radios. This was a soldier can open or tighten them down with a knife blade.
Cool! Might be wrong, but if i remember correctly, this type of hinge was made for use on an uneven surface.
