    Policy on multiple accounts?

    Hey Beehaw support folks!

Is there an official policy on multiple accounts? I realized that I defaulted to my backup username (this one) and attempted to claim Stewie. I was able to submit my application and I am pretty sure its just waiting for approval (no rush) But I can't tell if the existing user I found with /u/Stewie is the one I made or if someone elsemade it at the same time I did.

  • 🎶you got cheesey blasters🎶 Thanks meatcat!

  • Login issues?
  • Yeah it was just temporary looks like they were victims of the AWS outage in us-East-1

  • What are people's thoughts on Silk?
  • I mean at the end of the day I will never recommend a 6k token purchase. It’s gotta be on whatever you want and feel is worth it.

IMO silk is a really great combo with miles to have a huge power swing for really low cost.

  • TIL Windows XP had specific code just to maintain compatibility with Lego Island
  • That is so funny to me. Imagine how the devs felt to know their game was so notable to get a windows compatibility just for them.

  • Vulfmon - I Can't Party
  • This guy has been doing numbers on tiktok

  • 30XX - Official Release Date Trailer
  • Been playing this for the last year in early access. I have loved all of the progress!

  • Whats a game that everybody seems to love that you cant stand for one reason or another?
  • See I originally was like this, and then I tackled it like a coin eater arcade game. Its is begging you to throw yourself over and over at the enemy and learn their patterns. It becomes so satisfying when after a few hours your a master at parrying an enemy the day before killed you in seconds. The games do a fantastic job of giving you that feeling of a protagonist whose finally learned to work their powers. Then you get a new enemy and its back to square one.

  • The green bubble problem is about to get even worse (Apple/Android)
  • Is there a steamdeck lemmy community? I quite liked having a place to talk about performance of some games or tweaks or releases.

  • I count these guys up there with the devs I will ALWAYS buy their new game. They just mail everything I love about indie games.

  • Modern Pokemon games hold your hand too much.
  • Oh for sure, I mean how many games have that simply because they assume you will replay it? Why not do it for a long running series?? it's bonkers.

  • What are some of your favorite game mechanics?
  • Achievement based cosmetics in multiplayer games. While I appreciate the "cosmetics only" approach of some multiplayer games microtransactions and battlepasses I also really miss the days of showing off the hayabusa armor in Halo 3. Or even in single player games, it was sometimes more engaging to have something to aim towards to unlock a new costume or get the "ultimate" version of an armor set.

  • Modern Pokemon games hold your hand too much.
  • I’m not so certain there is a comparable title to Pokémon at it’s best. I want there to be, but it doesn’t exist yet.

  • Modern Pokemon games hold your hand too much.
  • While on one hand I completely and totally agree that the games seem to always ignore the seasoned vets of the series. It’s also been very clear that their design choice is to always assume this is your first Pokémon and that you ARE a child since that’s the target audience always. So the hand holding is always a result of that design choice, now obviously there’s better ways to go about it, Pokémon is the only game that treats me like a child for the first 4 hours but then opens the system up and leaves me alone. But I also think it’s been getting better, look at the 3DS generation of games, those things were relentless with its constant “hey look over here and do this!” That it took a lot for me to finish those games.

  • Shadows of the Damned Remaster Announcement
  • Wait wait wait wait wait. For real? I loved this game on 360 and recently tried to play it again via emulator and it didn’t go so well. This is wonderful news.

  • Sega’s new Yakuza spinoff leaks, turns Kiryu into secret agent Spider-Man
  • My only issue with the yakuza games is I don’t like beat-em ups all that much. Which is a shame because the story telling and atmosphere are so freaking good. I usually can put a solid 10 hours in before my attention drifts somewhere else.

  • Blasphemous 2 - Official Release Date Trailer | Summer of Gaming 2023
  • So excited for this game. The first one was just oozing with personality and atmosphere.

  • Donald Trump says he’s been indicted on charges of mishandling classified documents
  • Just a bit more now I just need the perp walk and I can go peacefully into the night.
