  • Apparently both pronunciations are correct but I've never heard it pronounced any other way than doōn. But I think what is required for the joke to work is to pronounce doin' like doōn.

  • external link destinations

It would be great if Connect would let us see the url for these sort of links with out needing to click on them. I always worry about navigating to a website that I would rather not.

Spotify Playlist Randomizer | Steven Aleong, for peple who want "true shuffle" for their playlists (Spotify tends to always play the same stuff)
  • Spotify's shuffle tends to always pay the same stuff because Spotify is a scumbag company that nobody should use. Spotify prioritizes the tracks that cost them the least in royalties per stream. So, it's not that their shuffle algorithm is bad. It's that their shuffle algorithm is INTENTIONALLY bad to fuck over artist.

The bad user experience you get as a result is just collateral damage and they really couldn't give a fuck about that.

  • Totally. I live in a college town. I'm surrounded by mid-century-neoliberalism. There has developed a sizable unhoused population here, because of skyrocketing rents and the fact that there are actually a lot of us here who actually gives a shit and try to help. It's really pulled the mask off a lot of these folks.
