  • With what leverage? If you have no-strings-attached income, you are not facing destitution at the loss of your job, and it becomes a lot less risky to walk away from a job and move somewhere else. If all the landlords in one area do that, employers in that area will probably have to pay more.

But imo, some type ubi system should be paid for with a vat tax that just pulls it's income directly out of economic activity, which would make it harder to avoid paying for. The result would be higher prices anyway which would probably offset the income, but new situation would be that workers have a lot more leverage in their employment and living situation.

My other hot take is that with a ubi, minimum wage should be abolished. Basically, with ubi the need for it would be lessened and more people might be willing to work jobs that they might not have been able to live off of without a ubi. But again, these are basically my hot takes

  • Is "If A then B" equal to "B if and only if A"?
  • If A, then B

If Not B, then Not A

If it's raining then the grass is wet, but you can't tell if it's raining if the grass is wet, because of say, a hose or sprinkler.

All that you can tell is that if the grass is dry, then it is not raining, and I that's called a contrapositive.

  • Germany’s emissions hit 70-year low as it reduces reliance on coal
  • It seems like nuclear started being phased out in the early 2000s, and wind only started getting phased in, in like the 2000s and with a bit of solar getting phased in around 2010.

Fossil fuels seemed to take up more than half of their energy mix till like 2008 ish (?), and only really starting to drop off around 2016.

Although now I'm also kinda wondering what their total energy usage/ production was during that time now.

  • So I tried Lethal company... and didn't like it. Does it get better eventually ?
  • So, yeah

I would say the game itself isn't particularly that fun. I can't remember the name of it, but there's an scp game that's much more game-y

But uh, lethal company for me, the enjoyment I get out of it has more to do with the people I'm playing with. I'm not sure I particularly like horror movies, but it very much seems to give the experience of being in one, knowing someone is either about to die or doing something that's going to get them or you killed and sometimes not being able to do much more than silently watch. To me, these situations are kind of hilarious, and the game is kinda just filled with these horror movie moments once you sort of know what is going on.

Maybe mods could change the experience a bit, but if watching your frirnds panic in a silly game isn't all that fun for you, then, yeah, probably not the game for you.
