Behold: Tapout as a guitar
  • If he designed and spec’d it like this he’d had his reasons… btw, he influenced a shit ton of musicians over the years, not me personally, even though i recognize the craft and touch, so he might be a bit of an authority in the field. There are way worse guitars designed by way worse guitarists… why do you care? Listen to what he plays instead of caring for the colours or shapes of a product that carries someone’s name

  • If you could only keep one synthesizer…
  • Yeah, i understand but the thing is that if you want to access more stuff than what’s on the front panel… you got to access menus and submenus.. In the DeepMinds though there’s just the “edit” page of every section, it’s rather difficult to have to get past that, or the first page of the mod matrix

  • My longest lasting pedalboard
  • Yes, although, to be honest i don’t use it very much.. 😕 i tried to build my own toneprint and use it to decrease delay time or other paraneters, but most of the time the outcome was a mess

One thing i find it useful for is using the Octaver engine inside to make a organ-like distortion/octaver at the press of my foot; just think of the intro in Jerk It Out from Caesar Palace, i’ve been kinda obsessed for some days with that riff and i figured it out on my strat fretboard then i spent few hours crafting out that sound on the TonePrint app

  • My longest lasting pedalboard
  • When i want to try hyped pedals or new stuff i try to build them, there are amazing kits on site like musikding.. Now i’m trying to design a mini sized DRV 1981, i’m waiting for the pcb manufacturer price to drop a little and then the first tests might start

  • My longest lasting pedalboard

This setup has been the longest lasting on my board.. i planned it for a long time on pedalplayground.com and then i put it together in one night. It’s the result of many iteration on a single-row boards, but in the end i’m happy with this 2-rows.

    On the pedals: -the 2-footswitch blue one is a KoT clone that i built myself; -the white one next to the KoTclone is a 1981DRV clone that i also built; -the models i’m using on the mooer x2 are a 5150 lead channel for rhytm/chugs/lead parts and a fender twin (i believe) for the clean stuff and as a pedal platform; -on the Hall Of Fame2 i’m using a toneprint which has a modulated plate i believe.. -as you can see the corona mini is not in the rig, but i loaded a boss CE-2 toneprint.. i’m waiting to find a solution that fits everything and it’s as comfortable to use as this one; -the Flashback2 has an external tap tempo that i built which is amazing to control the time of the delay or to add functions to the built-in looper; Everything’s powered by an Harley Benton AC-10iso pro;

I go straight stereo wet/dry - wet into my interface and out on my presonus monitors on my desk. Feel free to ask anything about this rig :)

    My Pedals - Boss CE-2w
  • I was right about to throw 150€ on it from a friend… then i saw that there is an ALMOST 1:1 replica in a toneprint on the corona mini and i went for it.. it’s not even a staple of my board, not even properly cabled, it didn’t make sense.. but o agree, i think it’s the best chorus out there

  • My Pedals - EQD Dispatch Master
  • Cool, i see a lot of people into this, the DM-2w, the carbon copy… tap-tempo-less/few-knobs delays that sounds generally good as you twist the knobs. I personally found my endgame day in the tape model of the Flashback II from TC with a tap hooked up, it has the lush and can be rhythmic.

    What do you play mostly?

  • State of the Rig - Amp and Board Edition
  • Yeah, i understand the tweaking thing, i like sound sculpting, but it’s not playing.

I love the three of them! Amazing players, the only one I haven’t seen live is Cory Wong and i’d die to get a ticket for him and the wongnotes

  • What's the deal with ampsim/preamp/amp-in-a-box pedals?
  • One thing you might end with is a setup that allows you to have more or less the same sound regardless of the amp you’ll find on the stage; i had a friend that did it because of that… he’d set the amps flat when they had no fx loop and he ran his rig in front
