Progress: the Katy Freeway in Houston, Texas, spans across 26 lanes making it the worlds widest. The freeway is broken down in to 12 main lanes (six in each direction), eight feeder lanes.
  • Where I live this will cause what would be a 15 minute car ride into 1.5 hours of hopping on different busses and then walking 1/2 mile to your destination on either end. I don't have a problem with effective public transportation but outside of major population centers like Manhattan, I haven't seen one that really works all that well here in the US.

  • shake shack should bottle up their water and sell it
  • I feel bad for people who live where tap water tastes like shit. Our water source is straight from snow melt here in the PNW and is so clean that we didn't even need to treat it (other than filtering through sand) up until a few years ago when a reservoir experienced a toxic algae bloom. Places like LA and Vegas have notoriously god awful tap water which is doubly bad since it makes it difficult to drink even though you're in the desert.

  • why isn't anyone calling for Trump to drop out.
  • as the rest of the world cannot handle another trump term. Trump exemplifies a lot of what is wrong with the world, and we don't need another 4 years of a loudmouth, lying, traitorous wannabe dictator who will show the world how he can cozy up and embolden actual dictators and take the reigns of big corporations to continue to rape the planet for profit.

And yet that guy is polling ahead of the guy you want to circle the wagons around, and you don't see why people like me are upset about it. It's like the Dem leadership are trying to throw the election on purpose.

  • why isn't anyone calling for Trump to drop out.
  • That isn't a "if we could only change the past screed," it's calling the party leadership out for allowing things to get to this point. Where in a bus barreling toward the edge of a cliff while the driver has been ignoring our pleas to turn literally any other direction. Now we're feet from the edge and you want to chastise us for not giving an exact direction earlier and happily plummet over the cliff with the driver.

  • why isn't anyone calling for Trump to drop out.
  • No one is asking him to drop out because they aren't afraid he's going to lose. Simple as that.

Nobody has publicly asked him to drop out because it's all about circling the wagons and backing The Chosen One. These people care more about falling in line than actually improving things because it's a calculated bet that it will be more advantageous to them in the future.

Everyone with their panties in a twist right now could have done something about it during the primaries, but apparently protest votes about Israeli atrocities were the priority.

Oh yeah what do you suggest people should have done during the primaries, which spanned from 6 months ago up until last month depending on your location?

  • why isn't anyone calling for Trump to drop out.
  • I don't understand how this is supposed to be like some 'gotcha' question. Biden wasn't a strong candidate in 2016 and lost to Hillary, who then lost to Trump. He wasn't a strong candidate in 2020 which is why he barely squeaked by Trump to victory. He's an even worse candidate in 2024 which is why Trump again has a shot at the presidency.

None of this is new information and the party has has nearly a decade to find a good candidate, yet they keep foisting some of the most unlikable people upon us election afrer election after election. It almost seems as if they're doing it on purpose at this point. It's not our fault that they've waited until the 11th hour to listen to the complaints and even acknowledge what we've all been saying for years. If Biden loses again, maybe stop looking at leftists to blame and start looking at the people in charge of this private organization deciding the fate of us all.

  • Supreme Court to weigh whether regulators were heavy handed with flavored e-cigarette products
  • The 20mg ones are nic salts which work a bit differently which is why they're stronger. The refillable "freebase juice" is what came in 3, 6, 12mg and it sounds like it's getting banned. Nic salt is supposed to be used at much lower wattage so that you get less with each puff but it works faster (similar to a cigarette). Pretty much all the disposables use nic salts.

  • Supreme Court to weigh whether regulators were heavy handed with flavored e-cigarette products
  • It's because they weren't subject to the tobacco tax that cigarette companies must pay due to the Tobacco Master Settlement Agreement (MSA). Now the vaping industry is all but decimated outside of disposables, but you can still go buy your favorite cigarettes at any corner store.
