  • I hate it when the streaming services do this. It's even more frustrating when you see the title in the search results. I understand why it's like that (because of streaming rights, and ownership and all that), but man, it's so frustrating.

  • Here's how it's going to go down.
  • Thanks for the insights ! I currently want to stay on Lemmy as it's way easier for me to interact with the communities here for now.

I've got a question for you, wise man. What made you make the move to the Fediverse six years ago ? :o

  • [Possible spoilers] For those who played Outer Wilds, what was your favourite part of the game or your most "Ha-Ha!" discovery ?
  • It's such a shame I used online guides for some parts of the game (such as the quantum moon tower puzzle). I think if I pushed a little harder, I would have been much more satisfying !

It's still crazy to me how they thought out all of the mechanics of the game like the quantum objects not moving when observed by a photograph.

  • How to Read a Scientific Paper
  • I really can't count the number of times I had to go on Google Scholar to find a concrete answer for a silly question outside of my field (like, biology, psychology, sociology etc.) because the rest of the web was incapable of giving me a concrete answer backed with sources. I have to say it does take more time and energy though. And you won't find a simple answer to your question, more like "Yes, but it depends".

  • Traditional photo management?
  • I use Syncthing for transfering the photos from my phone to my computer and Photoprism to manage the actual photographs. I believe there are better alternatives than Syncthing for photo transfer, but I was already using it, so eh
