Anyone else miss old-school digital pet games, like Petz 5? Plus: a small rant about the game industry state re. "girly" games.

  • I loved Petz, Dogz, Catz, etc as well as Nintendogs and Neopets. I still play a virtual pet site I've been on since 2005, but it's very very quiet there now of course. Most people just log in to collect their virtual bank interest or do their daily tasks, then logout without interacting with anyone.

    We had one new user who stuck around in the past couple years and that was super cool, but I just wish the site were more user friendly so new users would stay and I could recommend it to people.

    I miss the good old days I suppose! I remember when we had 100 people on at once for the first time. Now we're kind of all ships in the night most of the time.
