Do you have any recommendations for good budget wireless earbuds?
  • I have the soundcore liberty air 2. They have good sound quality and fit the bill for what you're looking for. Looks like $30 on Amazon. That said, I do need to push them in occasionally while exercising but I haven't experienced earbuds where I don't have to do that.

  • What's your favorite depiction of cyberspace?
  • I like the book Hyperion's description. Kinda reminds me of how that Hackers depiction looks, except more massive and there are AIs (and other intelligences and processes) roaming around, enforcing rules, running algorithms.

  • Confidence goes so much further than you imagine. You don't need to be tall and physically attractive, but you will figure that out. If you think of yourself as unattractive, so will others. I have a gnome-esque friend who embraced his geekiness, found a style that worked for him (outdoorsy/woodsman style) and since then has had plenty of romantic success. If you can have non-romantic relationships, you can also have romantic ones. You really think the only thing preventing them from becoming romantic is the thought 'if only they were taller /more physically attractive'? You have things to offer, you just need to recognize that fact.

  • The Weekly 'What are you playing?' Discussion
  • After finishing Dave the Diver I've been playing sifu and outer wilds. Interesting mix of games. Sifu is pretty tough so far. Outer wilds I think I just need to invest more time before I'm really hooked

  • If anyone is interested - commercial HVAC service pays extremely well depending on where you live. I rarely have to work overtime (although I do like to) and it's not backbreaking (it's a lot more mental/problem solving). It's union work. Not to say it can't be stressful, but it's the best job I've had and I've worked in a bunch of industries. I'm college educated as well, but don't need any degree for this work. Wish I would've joined this industry a long time ago.
